His sole success came at this track over 2m4f in December 2017. Since then he has only featured twice and has been pulled up on both occasions. Is dropping down in trip again. Can't discount to bounce back.
A two-time winner over hurdles. His last success came in September 2018 at Worcester (2m7f). Returned to action at Ludlow (2m) last month where he was eighth of 10. Is now 5lb lower than his last winning mark. One to think about.
Has been in good form recently with two wins from his last three starts, including a success over this C&D last month. He had to settle for fourth of 15 last time over this C&D. Leading player to add to his tally.
0-5 so far in his career. He has yet to come close to scoring in two handicap appearances, his latest effort coming at Stratford (2m2½f) where he was 11th of 15. Has been eased 5lb in the weights. Others appeal more.
Remains a maiden after 13 starts, however, she went close last time to victory when she was second of eight at Stratford over the extended 2m trip. The winner has been out and won again since. One to consider here.
Scored in a maiden hurdle at Naas in January 2016, however, has been unable to add to that since then. Was pulled up at Chepstow (2m3½f) last time out. Making his seasonal reappearance. Needs to improve.
His sole victory came at Limerick (2m3f) in April 2018. Has been below his best recently, although he was a little better last time at Chepstow when he was 8½L away in fifth place of nine. Has each-way claims off this mark.
Was successful over fences at Bangor (2m1½f) three starts ago. Returned to hurdles last time over this C&D where he was sixth of 15. Has been eased 2lb in the weights. Worth consideration here.
Has been on a losing losing stretch since his victory in a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot (2m2½f). Set for his first appearance since finishing seventh of 14 at Wincanton (2m4f) back in March. Others are preferred.
Is still a maiden after six appearances under Rules. He was pulled up at this course on his last start over 2m4f. Has been eased 6lb by the handicapper, however, he needs to take a huge stride forward.
Forecasts
Percy Thrower (5/2), All Good Things (7/2), Missesgeejay (6/1), Richardofdoccombe (13/2), Jones Well (15/2), Affaire D'Honneur (12/1), Dragon Khan (12/1), Hurry Henry (20/1), Sunday Central (25/1), Clondaw Robin (33/1)
PERCY THROWER has been much better since having wind surgery as he has prevailed in two of his three starts. He still looks open to improvement so take him to improve his record here with another C&D victory off this workable mark. Missesgeejay was second behind a really smart horse last time and that form has been franked since so expect another big run, while Affaire D'Honneur must be considered to hit the frame from this latest mark which is actually 5lb lower than when he last scored.
- Percy Thrower
- Missesgeejay
- Affaire D'Honneur
