Useful when on song and nothing wrong with her second to the consistent Final Choice at Uttoxeter last month; however, predicting those going days is becoming harder, and she was tailed off at Exeter last time.

Goes back over hurdles after a spell chasing last year, and is starting to look on a good mark for one of his ability; trip and likely ground both ideal, has gone well fresh before, and looks a threat to all.

Looked very useful as a juvenile but it's all rather gone west for him in the last year or so, resulting in a very low-looking mark if he can recapture former glories; however, shows no signs of that at present. Risky.

C&D winner here in January, still 9lb higher today but based on her recent third at Worcester where she may have needed the run, it still looks a workable mark; quicker they go the better her chance late on, as she stays well.

Winner on seasonal debut last year, looking useful when scoring at Wetherby a year ago but never reproduced that in three subsequent efforts; possible then that fresh is the time to catch him, and he's unexposed enough to improve.

Have to go back to 2017 to find the last time he got his head in front, runs since then punctuated by long absences, so may not be the easiest to train either; on a good mark but back off another absence here, and best watched.

Did get his head in front for Dan Skelton last year but it looked hard work for him a lot of the time, and he appears to be regressing for new yard already. Others readily preferred.

Consistent but hard to win with sort, her latest third at Taunton merely backing that impression up; as such, she's not getting a lot of help from the handicapper, but on the plus side, yard are having winners for fun.

Lex Talionisp,t208
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: Mr Adam Lavergne(7)| T: C J Mann| OR:  108
25/1
Better known as a chaser, stays well (if a little one-paced) and looks on a very fair mark based on chase form of last year; quicker they go the better, but tends to need a run to put him straight, so may be best watched today.

Torquay21
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Mr Callum McBride(7)| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR:  106| D
12/1
Is arguably going the right way, her fourth to the useful Oscar Rose at Southwell last time her best effort over hurdles yet; won't mind a drop of rain and this trip should be within her compass, so with improvement to come, has chances.

Age: 5|  Weight: 10-9| J: Alice Stevens(7)| T: H D Daly| OR:  103

Her third to the useful Definitelyanoscar at Warwick last year showed she has ability, and she ran a much better race when second over 2m here last time, looking in need of this step back up in trip. Chances of going one better here.

Mrsgrey36
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-8| J: Alex Edwards| T: Henry Oliver| OR:  102

On the plus side, her best run to date did come over C&D when third here in April, but she was beaten out of sight on her reappearance here last month (signs of temperament too) and on that, best watched here.

Forecasts

Wilde Spirit (4/1), Grageelagh Girl (4/1), Miss Tynte (5/1), Imperial Acolyte (6/1), Longhousesignora (6/1), Stamp Your Feet (7/1), Merry Milan (15/2), Bhutan (12/1), Torquay (12/1), Mrsgrey (12/1), Gray Day (20/1), Lex Talionis (25/1), Starcrossed (80/1)

Verdict

Stamp Your Feet is starting to look like a horse ready to strike from this mark and this race could easily fall his way, and he is passed over very reluctantly. Torquay is improving with each start and there was little wrong with his latest run at Southwell, giving the impression of more to come, but WILDE SPIRIT gave notice her turn wasn't far away here last time and with her yard going well, she can score. Merry Milan is inconsistent but might get an easy lead today, and that could produce a better effort.
