Useful over hurdles. Unsuited by the test on seasonal reappearance at Ffos Las (2m) in October and likely to come on for that. Contender if taking to this sphere.

The best of his rivals over hurdles, landing a Grade Two contest last season before progress seemingly stalled. Fair effort in Silver Trophy on return and leading contender on chase debut.

Won a couple of contests over hurdles and shaped well on chase debut in handicap at Carlisle last month. This is tougher but commands respect.

Irish point winner back in 2017 and been highly tried. Jumping usually lets him down and probably out of his depth in this company.

Smart hurdler but was only third with some scratchy jumping at this track on latest start. Trip may be on the short side but player if replicating top hurdles form.

Showed some promise on chase/rules debut when fourth in weak-looking contest at Stratford but lacks the ability of her rivals. Hard to fancy.

Verdict

ESPRIT DU LARGE was pitched into handicap company on his chase bow and did little to dent his reputation finishing a fine second. While he is up against it in conditions company he could make his experience count against inexperienced rivals. Coolanly sets the form standard but has recently proven to be a little bit off the boil, while The Mighty Don may do better over time but could be suited to this small field.
