12/1
Won a third hurdle win of his career when landing a Down Royal 2m3½f handicap off a 8lb lower mark on soft ground in March. Beaten when last seen in April but the C&D winner is entitled to make the shortlist in this company.

Off the mark over hurdles at the 11th time of asking for connections when winning over C&D in good style in April but her inconsistencies have caught her out in three starts since. Has to be considered back up in trip at this track.

Winner at the fifth attempt when landing a Downpatrick handicap hurdle over 2m3f on good ground in September off a 9lb lower mark. Tough ask from revised rating on unproven ground.

Just the one win from 11 starts over hurdles and the daughter of Milan has been struggling to complete in a number of starts since March. Chance on best form but more needed with a couple of better handicapped sorts lurking.

Nicole's Milant23
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: Keith Donoghue| T: S Aherne| OR:  98| CD
7/1
Winner of two of his 13 starts over hurdles but it has been over a year since his last success over timber. C&D winner but the Milan gelding found it tough going on return to action at Cork recently.
6
Horse silk
Getalife17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: Mr L P Gilligan(7)| T: P J Gilligan| OR:  97
33/1
Schiaparelli gelding. Dam modest 2m1f-2m5f hurdle winner. Showed some promise with placed efforts in point-to-points before a couple of dismal maiden hurdle efforts last month. Others preferred on handicap debut.
7
Horse silk
Fu's Island19
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-6| J: B Browne(5)| T: P Meany| OR:  96| D
14/1
Has been in solid and consistent form since winning at Tramore in August and showed her well being when finishing a useful third at Gowran Park before another bold effort at Punchestown last month. Better than last run at Thurles suggests.

Magic Sea11
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-6| J: Donagh Meyler| T: Mrs S Dawson| OR:  100
16/1
10-race maiden yet to hit the frame on any occasion showing little or no aptitude to be considered in this contest.

Horse silk
William of Wykehamt43
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-4| J: D R Fox| T: M M McNiff| OR:  98
14/1
Eight-race maiden, without a win in five starts over hurdles. Lightly raced over the last 12 month and needs to improve on a 32L reversal in a Roscommon handicap hurdle in September to play a role in this contest.
10
Horse silk
Rightback Atya9
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-3| J: J P O'Sullivan(7)| T: P J Rothwell| OR:  93| D

Lightly raced over hurdles. Sole win over hurdles was back in 2015. Has failed to complete on his last couple of starts over hurdles both at Cork when sent off at big prices.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-3| J: M P Fogarty| T: D McDonogh| OR:  93
40/1
Won two of his first three starts over timber, and a Triumph Hurdle fancy at one point, but has regressed badly since. Handicap mark continues to fall but looks to be up against it again.

Horse silk
Empirion60
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: A W Short(3)| T: M J Smith| OR:  92

Big prices and beaten a long way on all starts so far under rules. Requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here.
13
Horse silk
Lagenodp31
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: Phillip Enright| T: R Sweeney| OR:  90
5/2
Has found his level in recent starts. Stepped up markedly on his return when splitting subsequent winners in the race won by Theatre World at Navan in September before a career best effort over C&D last month. Not to be taken lightly.
14
Horse silk
Friary Goldh,t19
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-13| J: J M Moore| T: G P Cromwell| OR:  89
8/1
Has only hit the frame on the one occasion from 12 starts over hurdles. Hints of promise at Thurles on his latest start in a 2m handicap hurdle but overall form leavers little to be desired.

Mickey Sheap128
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-13| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: D Cullen| OR:  89

Mixed bag of results in a number of starts over hurdles since August. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.

Without a win in six starts over hurdles, failing to hit the frame on each occasion. Still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.

Verdict

The Rodger Sweeney-trained LAGENOD has a number of solid efforts to his name on the underfoot conditions he will experience today. The gelding was a promising second of 16 on his latest start over C&D last month and looks primed to get off the mark at the 18th time of asking for connections at the expense of the Ellmarie Holden-trained Presenting Son who appears to be the biggest danger. Iknowwhereiamnow is a C&D winner and was still in contention when stumbling two out on latest start at Limerick last month. The five-year-old can compete with another C&D winner, Ballymadun for minor honours.
