Won bumper here in good style in April handling soft ground well, then made a successful hurdles debut at Uttoxeter last month winning with a but to spare. Has to concede 6lb penalty all round but still looks the one to beat.

Rules debut for Ballingarry debut who pulled up in two of his three point-to-point but did finish second in an Irish maiden between the flags. Hard to asses but on balance others make more appeal.

Sold for £30,000 after finishing second in Irish maiden point-to-point last spring but ran a shocker on Rules debut when 100/1 tailed off last of 16 in recent Chepstow maiden hurdle.

7/1
Runner-up in two points last season either side of a fair second in Exeter bumper. Shaped well enough until tiring in Stratford bumper last month and should strip fitter now for this hurdling bow.

Holly James23
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| D
10/1
Made wining debut in Kelso bumper in May when trained by Micky Hammond then sold soon after to current connections for £70,000. Never in the hunt but not completely disgraced on hurdles bow at Uttoxeter last month and open to improvement.

Le Cameleon253
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: T Scudamore| T: Nick Williams
7/2
Great Pretender half-brother to four decent jumps winners. Shaped with promise on only start when sixth to the useful McFabulous in Newbury bumper in March. In good hands so no surprise if he's on the premises on hurdles bow.
7
Horse silk
50/1
Very modest form in eight starts on the Flat with out success and didn't show a great deal when well held on hurdles debut at Exeter last time. Hard to enthuse over.
8
Horse silk
40/1
Won Irish mares maiden point-to-point last term and bought for £40,000 soon after. Shaped with a little promise when fifth on Rules debut in Market Rasen hurdle last month but always struggling and tailed off there a few weks later.

Trottinettet1198
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-5| J: Lee Edwards| T: T R Gretton
100/1
No Risk At All filly, half-sister to three jumps winners. Showed little ability when tailed off from halfway in Bangor bumper in April and appears to face a very tough task on her first outing over timber.

Forecasts

Prudhomme (2/7), Le Cameleon (7/2), Full Of Roque (7/1), Holly James (10/1), Flying Garry (18/1), Madera Mist (40/1), The Wire Flyer (50/1), Freedelivery (80/1), Trottinette (100/1)

Verdict

PRUDHOMME stands out here and looks to have a fine chance of completing a hat-trick. He was impressive when making a winning hurdles bow at Uttoxeter recently, should have learned plenty and can successfully concede weight all round. Le Cameleon has his first outing over timber having shaped promisingly in a fair Newbury bumper on his only previous start so is worthy of some consideration, while of the rest Full Of Roque and Holly James may prove up to winning races.
  1. Prudhomme
  2. Le Cameleon
  3. Holly James
