Returned from long injury lay-off with two below-par efforts, including 91L defeat at Newton Abbott (3m2f) in September. Remains to be seen if he is the force of old.
Placed second after passing the post first at Ludlow two starts ago but failed to handle marathon trip at Cartmel (3m5f) in May. Down in distance and claims on best form.
Hasn't gone on as hoped after Wincanton victory in March and was last seen finishing 17L sixth at that track last month. Entitled to do better.
Regressive in last two starts, finishing 41L fourth at Haydock before pulling up at Wincanton (3m1f) last month. Looks to be in the handicapper's grip.
In good form of late, winning two of his last three starts including 3m1f Plumpton Handicap Chase in April. Not seen since but leading contender.
Yet to score over fences in his career and looked flattered when 11L second at Huntingodn (2m7f) in May. Comeback effort and up in trip once again.
Consistent sort who has hit the crossbar lately. made it a hat-trick of runner-up efforts with game second at Worcester (2m7f) last month. Solid place claims.
Looked disappointing on first three starts but bounced back in fine fashion to land 3m2f contest at Chepstow in late October. Penalised for that but could now be getting the hang of things.
Winner of similar contest over 3m at this track in April but returned with heavy 27L defeat at Stratford last month (2m5f). Back up in trip today.
Not inspired with form at the end of last season, culminating when pulling up in 3m5f handicap chase at this track in April. Major bounce back is required.
Forecasts
La Cavsa Nostra (5/4), Boughtbeforelunch (3/1), Barbrook Star (5/1), Nesterenko (10/1), Cadeau Du Bresil (14/1), I See You Well (20/1), Follow The Swallow (25/1), Oneida Tribe (25/1), Bells Of Ailsworth (33/1), Goodtoknow (40/1)
Despite not being seen since April, CADEAU DU BRESIL sets the form standard in this contest after his victory over this distance at Plumpton. He hasn't been too harshly penalised by the handicapper and if he is race-fit could prove to be hard to beat. Boughtbeforelunch continues to run to his mark yet typically finds one rival too good, while the likes of La Cavsa Nova and Nesterenko are starting to get the hang of things lately.
