Won a Grade 2 Mares' novice hurdle in 2018; runner-up on chasing bow at Uttoxeter a year ago over 3m (five runners) before taking a fall at Plumpton in February (2m½f, soft; 13/8) on second start. Off since, can do better things before long.

Gained her only hurdles success over this C&D in December last off a mark of 98, but well thereafter and will surely need to improve form going chasing. Trainer in decent form.

Poor maiden over hurdles, made it 0-12 over timber (unplaced) when tailed off at Plumpton (3m1f, soft; 33-1) on reappearance 18 days ago and impossible to fancy going over fences on available evidence.

Daughter of Milan won twice over hurdles early last season before coming up shy in Listed company twice. Runner-up in Novices' Chase at Ffos Las on debut over the larger obstacles and should have a leading say now against her own sex.

Point-to-point winner on yielding-to-soft ground over 3m in February last year (1-7 in that sphere); she's been readily dismissed in two starts under rules and is hard to fancy going back over fences.

Much-improved last season after joining Emmet Mullins, won 3-4 over hurdles having failed to score in 10 before. Wins all circa 3m, latest off a mark of 109 at Ayr in April. Changed hands since and interesting to see what she can do over fences.

Forecasts

Sensulano (10/11), Midnight Tune (11/8), No No Juliet (14/1), Yeats Baby (16/1), Truckers Cailin (66/1), Remember Me Well (150/1)

Verdict

Midnight Tune showed promise on first start over fences a year ago and, a faller on one run since, returns from a break likely with further improvement to come. Race fitness, coupled with a strong effort against the boys at Ffos Las, ensures this looks a pleasing chance for SENSULANO to build on that chase debut and get on the board. Yeats Baby made good strides over timber last season and is interesting having changed hands ahead of this chase debut.
  1. Sensulano
  2. Midnight Tune
  3. Yeats Baby
