Lightly raced sort who took a good step forward to break his maiden duck at the sixth attempt on handicap debut at Kelso (2m; good to soft) recently. 10lb rise demands more but he is open to improvement.
Three-time winner over hurdles last season, including a pair of C&D victories in February. Drops back down into a class 4 after failing to land a blow on seasonal return at Carlisle (2m1f; good to soft) last month. On the shortlist.
Solid effort when third behind a pair of well-regarded sorts at Huntingdon (2m; good) on seasonal reappearance. Claims if able to build on that effort on this seasonal reappearance. Unexposed over hurdles.
C&D winner in December when well-fancied (6-4f). However, nothing went right next time out when pulled-up on his chase debut in May. Still lightly raced and should have a fair bit to more offer back over hurdles.
Held a consistent profile over hurdles last season. However, she was tailed off before being pulled-up at Kelso on seasonal return (2m; soft) last month. Questions to answer off the back of that performance.
Not won over hurdles since August 2018, but did post a more encouraging effort when runner-up at Perth (2m; soft) two starts back. Place claims off the same mark.
0-7 over hurdles, and has first run over obstacles since May. Been running on the flat since then, without making too much of an impact. Form of latest hurdles effort is respectable.
Makes seasonal/stable debut after being set some stiff tasks for former yard in Ireland. Opening mark could prove lenient if she is fit enough to do herself justice. Drops in class. Market check advised.
Yet to make any considerable impact in seven career starts, and he was disappointing on his handicap debut when only 10th of 12 at Perth (2m; soft) in September. Best watched for now.
Forecasts
Gennady (11/4), Condarcia (11/4), Fisher Green (6/1), Gemologist (7/1), Touchedbyanangel (7/1), Spin The Coin (8/1), Let's Sway (14/1), Lastofthecosmics (20/1), Bromance (25/1)
A competitive affair to round off the card, with Spin The Coin considered as he had a genuine excuse when pulled-up last time out (struck into by another horse). With his record over hurdles at this track (2-2), Fisher Green is respected, and he should strip fitter for his recent reappearance run. If proving the form of his Huntingdon run was no fluke, then Bromance would also be a serious player. However, GENNADY is taken to give his yard the winners of both divisions of this race. The selection produced an eye-catching performance when winning by four-length at Kelso on handicap debut. A 10lb rise seems steep, but he is lightly raced after just four hurdle runs.
- Gennady
- Fisher Green
- Bromance
