Won three of her four starts in 2019, improving for the step up to 7f. Followed up a game win in a Saratoga Grade 1 with a wide margin success at Churchill Downs last time when dropped in class. Low draw shouldn't be an issue given her early speed.
Course winner. Seems to need a lead to be seen at her best, as seen when landing a Grade 3 at Del Mar in August. Endured a rough start when well beaten last time out; this looks a tough ask on debut for new yard.
Produced a career best when winning a Grade 3 at Belmont in May and bolted up when long odds-on on her prep run at Thistledown. Has plenty more on her plate in this company though and clear career best needed to be involved.
Won a Grade 1 at Saratoga over this trip prior to following up at Belmont Park last time out when winning eased down. Stamina was probably stretched at 1m½f on her only defeat this year and worthy of respect at what is likely her optimum trip.
Has done most of her winning at this venue and stayed on well in a Grade 3 here last time, suggesting this extra ½f won't pose a problem. Yard going particularly well at present and this mare has each-way claims here, though will need a career best.
Bolted up in the Santa Anita Oaks and all her best form is at this venue, though most wins at further than this and she's not been at her best subsequently. Only third in behind Covfefe in August but has ability to race from off the pace.
Recorded a hat-trick here last year prior to a disappointing effort at this meeting last year at Churchill Downs. Out-battled by Lady Ninja last time out here though and this is clearly tougher.
Seems to always run her race but tends to find a couple too good at this sort of level and hasn't won since landing a Stakes race at Aqueduct on sloppy in January. Up against it here from this draw but will be doing her best work in the finish.
C&D winner at the end of last year and has won two of her four starts this term, landing a Keeneland Grade 1 in April and narrowly getting the better of Dawn The Destroyer last time out. Step back up in trip no issue and shouldn't be far away.
Forecasts
Covfefe (2/1), Come Dancing (2/1), Spiced Perfection (11/2), Bellafina (13/2), Selcourt (14/1), Dawn The Destroyer (18/1), Lady Ninja (22/1), Heavenhasmynikki (33/1), Danuska's My Girl (50/1)
COVFEFE has improved for the step up to this trip and rates as the one to beat from a handy draw. Lady Ninja represents a yard in form and shaped like this step up in trip could yield improvement when beating Selcourt last time out. Come Dancing won with any amount in hand last time and rates as the main danger.
- Covfefe
- Come Dancing
- Lady Ninja
