Looks to have rather lost his way of late looking out of sorts on his most recent starts having won on the AW earlier in the year off a 6lb higher mark over 1m. Hard to give any sort of chance having failed to beat a rival in his last five starts.

Course winner and starting life with a new yard but does have a rather long losing sequence tempering enthusiasm for his chance. To balance that view he is well handicapped on the AW/old form (11lb below his last winning mark); note a market move.

Bounced back to form to take the Newmarket handicap for greys for the second time (made all; well-drawn). Found it tough going to follow up back up the handicap having been favourably handicapped when winning; AW form so far is moderate.

Lightly-raced sort who showed improved form to beat his better-fancied stablemate at Bath in June (5f). Both handicap efforts since have failed to impress (first-time cheekpieces on last time); in danger of going the wrong way; AW debut.

Proved himself on a variety of AW surface including Polytrack adding another string to his bow last time with a Fibresand 6f win. Up 6lb for that win he still looks to have scope off this mark in a bid to follow up; leading player.

Dropping in the handicap by the race but has so far shown little that would make you believe he's going to take advantage. Given a further chance here plus a drop in grade (ran in 0-85 last time); comes with risks attached but not totally ignored.

Given a chance by the handicapper having found marks in the 70's tough to cope with he's not looked threatening of late despite the ease in the weights. Cheekpieces worn for his last win return; 0-8 for this yard however, others more persuasive.

Dual winner earlier in the year with one of those victories coming over 7f here (has another course win to her name also). Not disgraced since then although it's hard to say that he's off a mark that makes him look well handicapped.

Maintaining a long losing run at the moment although there were signs of life in her second at Yarmouth over this trip a few starts ago. That performance has proved to be a false dawn though with her next three runs all below-par; something to prove.

C&D winner in 0-55 company her two subsequent starts have been a rather mixed bag with one bettering her winning form before a producing a dismal effort last time. That run did come on Fibresand; may well be better back on Polytrack, given a chance.

A win at Lingfield over 7f off a 17lb higher mark at the start of the year shows how far this one has fallen since then. Given his recent form he's hard to build a case for having run some moody/untrustworthy races of late; not one to rely on.

Forecasts

Poeta Brasileiro (10/3), Three Little Birds (4/1), Born To Finish (5/1), Senorita Grande (5/1), Hic Bibi (5/1), Lalania (7/1), Real Estate (8/1), Kodiline (9/1), Case Key (11/1), Desert Fox (14/1), Regulator (16/1), Good Answer (16/1), Something Lucky (20/1), In The Red (33/1)

Verdict

Backers need to be of a forgiving nature to get involved here with some long losing runs and out of form sorts to contend with. Something Lucky, Regulator and Real Estate are all well handicapped on old form and a market move for any of the trio should be noted. Stronger cases on recent form are presented by Senorita Grande who will appreciate a return to this surface and the versatile POETA BRASILEIRO whose Fibresand win last time reads well and he still looks well treated off this mark. Hic Bibi and the consistent Three Little Birds two others to consider.

  2. Senorita Grande
  3. Real Estate
