Running well in defeat in a number of starts over the summer until a disappointing effort in a 6f contest at the Curragh last month. Others make more appeal.

Will have disappointed connections over the summer but the Dandy Man gelding does all his best work on the AW and could be a lively outsider now running 9lb below last winning mark.

All five career victories for the daughter of Dandy Man have come on the AW including one win over C&D. 8/1 winner on a British raid at Wolverhampton last month and enters calculations here.

One from two starts over C&D. The daughter of Le Cadre Noir has been running with credit in a number of starts since August. Another bold show not out of the question.

Winner at this venue but is without a win in seven starts over C&D. Not seen since finishing down the field at Naas over 5f in May and will possibly need the run on return to action here.

Eight-race maiden but not disgraced when running well in defeat in a number of starts over the summer. 3L adrift of the winner, Pretty Smart over 6f here last week and capable of an improved effort.

Former 86-rated handicapper for trainer Paul Cole the Mayson gelding makes debut at this venue. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Without a victory in seven starts over C&D but the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding has hit the frame on five occasions over the combination. Big player if getting his own way from the front.

Well beaten and never nearer in four career efforts before an improved and career best effort in a 1m maiden claimer at this track in September. Still plenty to prove on handicap debut.

Relatively inexpensive Sepoy colt. Brother to 6f winner Samarmadi and half-brother to three winners, with mixture of stamina and speed. Has finished last of 17 and 11 in each of his last two starts. Hard to fancy.

Running well in defeat in three starts over C&D last winter. Not seen since January and always liable to find a couple stronger in first-time cheekpieces.

Eight-race maiden has shown little or no signs of ability in three starts for current connections since joining from the Willie McCreery yard. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.

Verdict

The solid and consistent PILLAR has been running well on turf over the summer and can get back to winning ways on return to this surface where the Rock Of Gibraltar has hit the frame on five occasions from seven starts over C&D. The six-year-old could take some stopping if getting his own way from the front. Ty Rock Brandy is 2lb lower than her C&D win in March and can emerge as the biggest danger following a win on the AW at Wolverhampton last month. The Peter Fahey-trained A Step Too Far can go well at a price from stall 2. If making the line-up, it would be hard to dismiss the claims of the Denis Hogan-trained Bahlwan.
