In good form of late following up a neck victory over this trip at Chelmsford last month with a 1½L second over the same trip at Kempton last time out. One to note off a mark 3lb higher than for that Chelmsford success.
Finished a decent sixth in a 12 runner 7f handicap at Wolverhampton last time out. Best form has come over shorter however and more needed if she's to take this event.
Successful over 5f at Catterick (good-to-firm) on his penultimate start and ran well when 2L fourth over this trip at Wolverhampton subsequently. Wide draw to overcome here however.
Well beaten 13L sixth in a soft ground 1m handicap at Bath earlier this month. Drop in trip a positive off a mark 1lb higher than when winning on turf at Ffos Las (good-to-firm) in July.
Promising return to action when finishing sixth in a 7f handicap at Kempton at the start of this month. Likely to have improved for the run and may surprise a few better fancied rivals.
Beaten 3¼L when finishing fourth in a 1m handicap at Chelmsford on his rerecent return from a break. Interesting to see how he performs dropping back in trip.
Winner of a 1m handicap at Brighton (good-to-soft) in Octobe r2017. Absent since finishing third at Leicester (7f, good-to-soft) later that month however. Others make more appeal.
Nine time winner including over 1m at this track in August. Decent efforts on two of his three subsequent outings and is worth a check in the market on this occasion.
Well held in three starts since finishing third in a small field 7f handicap at Brighton (good-to-firm) in April. Probably best watched on return from a break.
Regressed in two starts since finishing 1L second in a 7f amateur riders contest at Leicester (good-to-firm) in July. Others appear to hold stronger claims.
Debuted for this yard with a 1L third in a 7f handicap at Chelmsford just over a month ago. Races off a mark 6lb higher than when winning over the same C&D in August.
Fair effort in finishing 6¾L third in a 7f fibresand handicap at Southwell two weeks ago. Returning from a break that day and only previous victory came over this C&D.
Built on a promising 3L fourth at Windsor (6f, soft) when winning over the same C&D on heavy ground last time out. Worth a check in the market under a 5lb penalty.
Signs of ability in three starts in maiden/novice company so far including when 7¾L fifth in a 6f maiden at Windsor (soft) last time out. Interesting to see how he performs on handicap debut.
Forecasts
Sonnet Rose (7/2), Vincenzo Coccotti (6/1), Fiery Breath (13/2), Beepeecee (7/1), Chetan (8/1), Napping (8/1), Freedom And Wheat (12/1), Arctic Flower (16/1), Incentive (16/1), Wordismybond (16/1), Good Luck Charm (20/1), Altar Boy (20/1), Hellovasinger (20/1), The British Lion (33/1)
SONNET ROSE has been running well in recent starts and she can register a victory by defying top weight in this apprentice handicap. The selection showed good form when runner-up on her most recent start and she can get the better of Vincenzo Coccotti who ran well when placed on debut for this yard while Altar Boy who showed promise on his return from a break can take third.
- Sonnet Rose
- Vincenzo Coccotti
- Altar Boy
