Finally off the mark over hurdles when bolting up by 9L at Gowran on second start for this yard but found out by the 16lb rise when only third at Downpatrick top amateur booked always a plus in these races.
Sole win was in 2017 but below best this year and first time visor tried last time had no effect and left off today.
Naas win over 2m in the winter and stamina to prove at this trip but had a recent spin on the Flat where he shaped quite well and if staying could figure with that run under his belt.
Successful at Cork and Stratford this year and nothing wrong with his runs this month at Gowran and Cork so no surprise if he plays a part here.
Found 3m stretching stamina on only run over hurdles since 2017 in July at Limerick. No better over fences sole run since so bit to prove at present.
Best run was from the front when runner up beaten a neck at Tramore over 2m5f in August but still a maiden and beaten twice more since so others have better claims.
Similar efforts when third over fences and hurdles in August and although 14L behind Tiger Twenty Two at Gowran enjoys a 17lb pull so entitled to get closer this time.
Finished off 2018 with three placed efforts. Lightly raced this year and tried over fences on latest. Capable of better in this sphere and jockey booking takes the eye.
Promising second on first run over hurdles but hasn't progressed on that and tailed off last time. Now goes handicapping but bit to prove now.
Had shown nothing until landing a big gamble at Thurles a week ago. 6lb well in under her penalty and obvious claims if this doesn't come too soon and did reportedly break a blood vessel there.
Hasn't taken to fences in two attempts but wasn't in much form when last trying hurdles and others make more appeal here.
Beat a big field last December and ran as well as that when third in March. May have needed run after a break and could come on for that but others may have more scope for progress.
Lightly raced and early faller on handicap debut last week. Stamina to prove and not easy to assess with confidence.
No sign of ability at huge odds in three novice hurdles and first time cheek pieces need to have a dramatic effect on handicap debut now.
Forecasts
Robin Gold (7/2), She's Made It (7/2), Crimson Chief (5/1), Tiger Twenty Two (5/1), Our Jerry (10/1), Isabel's Gold (12/1), Mystique Heights (14/1), Glebe Girl (16/1), Frere Fontaine (20/1), All About Alfie (25/1), Frankincense (33/1), Subset (40/1), Thats Mypresenting (50/1), Presenting Hunzy (50/1)
Much depends on how Robin Gold comes out of her win last week which was clearly expected according to the market, but this quick turn around may not be ideal and it could pay to take a chance with MYSTIQUE HEIGHTS who won at Naas last season and shaped with promise on recent run on the Flat. Tiger Twenty Two may have found his last run coming a bit soon and isn't without a chance in an interesting finale.
- Mystique Heights
- Robin Gold
- Tiger Twenty Two
