Ex-Richard Fahey inmate won his first two starts for current yard over 7f/1m here last year; form in 2019 much less pleasing but now drops to claiming company with first-time tongue-tie on.
Twice finished second from three recent starts over 1m2½f here and is a previous C&D winner. Last five wins have all come in claimers so knows the drill well.
Justified favouritism to gain first win in C&D maiden claimer last month; this is tougher on paper but confidence boosted by that success.
C&D winner off a mark of 62 in April, he was headed close home over 7f around here 12 days ago and could have place claims now.
C&D winner in 2017, has run well on occasions this year in turf handicaps and not disgraced here early in the month (beaten 4L under hold-up ride). Possibilities in this company.
Has a 461-day absence to defy and mostly campaigned over hurdles since leaving William Haggas in 2016; won a Wolverhampton maiden in 2015 over extended-mile.
Three-time course winner over 6f (not since February 2018) and has stamina for this trip as shown when beating Yuften at Killarney in July. In and out performer these days however.
Garswood gelding that fetched 17,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to several winners including Group 1 winner Urban Fox. No-show in one Chelmsford start a year ago. In new hands now.
Sole win in 18 starts came in handicap company at Musselburgh earlier this year; beaten over 5L in 7f claimer here on Friday.

Forecasts
Yuften (15/8), Merricourt (5/2), Master Speaker (5/1), Equitant (6/1), Duhallow Noelie (12/1), Atlas (12/1), Lappet (33/1), Here In The Dark (33/1), Garryowen (66/1), Coherent (66/1)
The likes of Equitant and MASTER SPEAKER are dropping in class for this and preference is for the latter. He has decent course form and will stay this trip and, if he's in the mood, is more than good enough to land the spoils. Yuften often pops up in this grade while Atlas and Duhallow Noelie are also worth considering.
- Master Speaker
- Equitant
