Age: 4|  Weight: 11-11| J: Henry Brooke| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR:  99
9/1
No form in qualifying, but improved for switch to handicaps when 10L fourth of 12 to Global Tour in novice event at Bangor last time. Unexposed, and should do better again.

Harry Haze186
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Ben Jones(5)| T: P C Dando| OR:  99
8/1
Big odds and largely well held in qualifying runs, and similar story on handicap bow over C&D in April, although shaped a fair bit better than his final position. Not a forlorn hope.
4
Horse silk
Galtee Mountain24
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-8| J: M D Grant| T: P G Murphy| OR:  96
66/1
Hinted at ability on hurdles debut, but hopelessly tailed off on subsequent starts, and looks very harshly handicapped.
5
Horse silk
Patsiob,t11
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-8| J: C Brace(3)| T: D Brace| OR:  96| D
12/1
Runner-up in handicap hurdles at Ffos Las and Worcester in the summer, and claims on that form, but just respectable efforts since fitted with a tongue tie on recent runs, and needs to raise his game again.
6
Horse silk
Pokarih59
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: Miss N Parker(7)| T: A E Jones| OR:  94
16/1
Second in a weak novice at Newton Abbot last autumn (winner was 1/10), and poor efforts in three starts in handicaps since, with a hood not helping at that course on his latest start. Something to prove now.

Market Roadp50
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-6| J: Mitchell Bastyan(5)| T: Evan Williams| OR:  94| CD
12/1
Would have every chance on the form he showed when second in a handicap chase at Ffos Las in June, but hurdles efforts since then have been disappointing, and he looked reluctant back over fences last time
8
Horse silk
Hold Me Tightt146
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: James Best| T: P Gundry| OR:  93
16/1
Best effort when a close second over 2¼m at Newton Abbot in May, but he didn't seem to stay 2m5½f there last time, and may again find his stamina stretched on this more galloping track.
9
Horse silk
Parkin23
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: J J Burke| T: H Whittington| OR:  92
16/1
Yet to make any serious impact, but represents a thriving stable, and did make some late headway when sixth of 12 to Masters Apprentice in a 2m maiden at Uttoxeter last time. Longer trip offers hope of improvement.
10
Horse silk
Westerner Ocean224
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Adam Wedge| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR:  90WS
33/1
Well held in three qualifying runs over hurdles, and took a backward step when making handicap debut at Taunton in March. Had wind surgery subsequently, and dropped 6lb, but that isn't enough to make her of interest here.
11
Horse silk
Meldrum Way13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-1| J: L P Aspell| T: Mark Campion| OR:  89
66/1
Showed just a modicum of ability for Harry Kelly in Ireland, and two runs for current yard suggests he's going to struggle here.
12
Horse silk
Kilchreest Moon22
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: Nick Scholfield| T: Christian Williams| OR:  88
12/1
Would look very well treated on the pick of his form in maiden hurdles for Barry Murphy, but has shown largely regressive form since joining current yard, and makes limited appeal despite a plummeting mark.
13
Horse silk
Tis Fantastic32
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-13| J: Tom Cannon| T: M Blake| OR:  87
20/1
Makes some appeal on pedigree, but has regressed in two starts since a mildly promising hurdles debut, and needs to improve considerably to be competitive now handicapping.
14
Horse silk
Akkapenko27
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  86
5/1
Took advantage of a drop in the weights when scoring at Sedgefield on penultimate start, and found a bit more to follow up readily at Huntingdon. Still at the right end of the handicap despite another 4lb rise, and respected.
15
Horse silk
Tara Wellp,t280
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-10| J: Ceris Biddle(10)| T: R Dickin| OR:  84
25/1
Finished second of six finishers in mares only race at Leicester in January, and off since. This looks a bit tougher and the balance of her form suggests she is a bit-part player here.
16
Horse silk
Flanagans Fieldb146
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-8| J: Robert Williams(3)| T: B J Llewellyn| OR:  82| C| D
20/1
Won over 2m here in March, and similar form when 2¼L second of 10 to Ladies Dancing at Newton Abbot in June. Can go well after a break, and has solid place claims given her profile.
17
Horse silk
Guardia Top33
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-5| J: S Bowen| T: N J Hawke| OR:  97
9/4
Progressive youngster who made all to win a weak juvenile maiden at Perth last time by 5L from Pop The Cork. Second on handicap debut off this mark on previous start, and should stay this longer trip on pedigree.
18
Horse silk
Bring Back Charliev143
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-4| J: Jamie Bargary| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR:  78
20/1
Not disgraced at Worcester on penultimate start, but essentially regressive in handicaps, and well held last time. Visor needs to make a positive impact if he's to figure.

Verdict

It's rare to see juveniles in handicaps at this time of year at the trip, but GUARDIA TOP is bred to be precocious over obstacles, and won readily at Perth last time, so is taken to make all again with the benefit of her three-year-old allowance. Hat-trick seeking Akkapenko and the unexposed No Cruise Yet are selected to fill the places.
  1. Guardia Top
  2. Akkapenko
  3. No Cruise Yet
