Much better effort when going close on the AW latest in a fast run race. Every chance with a reproduction but the ground is a major query.
Twice a C&D winner in August and now 4lb higher. Disappointing in two starts since and chance revolves around a return to here proving the catalyst.
Five-race maiden has proved regressive since finishing runner-up in a Bath novice. Hard to fancy on that run of form.
On a winning mark and twice successful this year including over this C&D. Has won on heavy ground and continues to race to a consistent level. Likely contender.
Sole win came in a maiden handicap at Bath and less effective on the AW since. Doesn't look well handicapped and ground a query.
10-time winner with a last success on heavy ground last month. Remains on a good mark and second on the AW since. Ideal conditions and should go close.
Veteran with 10 career wins and on the same mark as the latest of them in August. Likes these conditions and decent third latest. Can be inconsistent.
Has lost his way since winning a low grade handicap on the AW at Newcastle in March. Hard to fancy at present.
Last turf win came back in 2016 and much better suited by quicker conditions. Badly out of form on his last three starts.
Dropped 10lb since his last win over this C&D in June 2018 and while the conditions aren't an issue his very poor run of form is.
Remains a maiden after 13 starts and no signs of progress or being competitive at the business end. Easy to overlook.

Carlovian is reliable and seeks a third win this year in conditions that pose no problem. VALLARTA also performs well on extreme ground and heads here off the back of some strong form at this level. Chickenfortea hasn't faced this ground before but is one of the more likely types to handle it and shouldn't be far away.
