His three runs have been punctuated by long absences. Former bumper winner now back from a 525-day absence and sports first-time tongue-tie. Others preferred today.
Son of Yeats proved a bit hit and miss in bumper but last spotted opening his account at Clonmel in March. Should take to this game and in good hands. Noted.
Twice ran well behind subsequent Supreme Novices Hurdle winner Klassical Dream last season. Beaten favourite over 2m5f at Galway Festival in August but undoubtedly sets the standard in this line-up.
Placed in first two starts over timer (including here) over longer trip and fell before cards had been played at Roscommon in August. Given a break and drops in trip now, should give a decent account and looks best of Joseph O'Brien's pair.
Well fended off in maiden hurdles at Ballinrobe and Fairyhouse either side of summer recess. Testing ground a possible worry on return, with improvement to find regardless.
Down the field in novice hurdle at Punchestown on sole start, having gone off a 66-1 chance. Changed hands since, but hard to fancy.
Three-time winner in point-to-point but struggled in bumpers. Makes return from an absence here and something to prove.
Little impact in bumpers and tailed off on hurdles bow this month at Tramore. Can be overlooked again on form.
Had some useful soft ground point-to-point form early in the year winning her last two starts over 3m; tailed off on rules bow at Tramore (2m4f, yielding) this month and plenty to work on as such.
Forecasts
Dancing On My Own (8/13), Conflated (6/1), Champagne Paddy (7/1), Guttural (8/1), In Your Shadow (8/1), Notice To Close (20/1), Direct Image (50/1), Justice Jim (50/1), Steel Tornado (66/1)
DANCING ON MY OWN wasn't far behind Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Klassical Dream on a couple of runs last season before being pulled up in the Coral Cup when upped to 2m5f. He again looked like a drop to 2m would suit when beaten favourite at Galway in August and should be good enough to make his mark with that now in his favour. The Gigginstown pair Conflated and Guttural may give him most to think about.
