Form has tailed off somewhat in a number of starts over hurdles and fences since winning a Tipperary handicap over timber in May. Others look open to more improvement.
Bumper winner who won on hurdling debut at Naas in January before disappointing at the Cheltenham festival. Likely to be a leading fancy on chasing debut for yard who are eight from 36 runners in the last four years at this meeting.
Useful 122-rated handicap hurdler. Pulled up when last seen in April and best watched on first start over fences unless the market suggests otherwise.
Not disgraced when stepping in to Grade 1 company when ninth to Minella Indo in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in March before disappointing in a number of starts since, including when falling two out when pressed on chasing debut this month.
Modest 108-rated handicap hurdler, pulled up on latest start in August after going lame with a circuit to race. Possibly best watched on chasing debut.
Solid 144-rated novice hurdler, winner of three of his five starts over timber. Expected to be popular in the market representing a yard with a 47% win and place strike-rate at this meeting since 2015.
Lightly raced in the last 12 months, well beaten here in October 2018 before finishing fourth of five runners at Cork over 3m earlier this month on return to action. Others look more convincing.
Already beaten on four occasions over fences, the Mahler gelding posted a career best effort at Limerick earlier this month over 2m6f on heavy ground finishing third of four runners beaten over 15L. Makes little appeal.
Well beaten in four starts over the larger obstacles before posting a career best effort at this venue earlier this month finishing third of 11 beaten 3¾L over 2m2f. Capable of a big run if in the mood.

Battleoverdoyen (8/11), Galvin (10/3), Cap York (7/2), Pateen (14/1), Paranoid (20/1), Glamorgan Duke (25/1), Brosna George (33/1), Never Off Duty (50/1), Ask And Answer (66/1), Cluan Dara (66/1)
Trainers who have solid and consistent returns at this meeting in the last four years can battle it out here as the Gordon Elliott pair of BATTLEOVERDOYEN and Galvin can hold off the attentions of the Noel Meade-trained Cap York. The selection is the subject of many 'to follow' lists as the National hunt season starts in earnest and can get off the mark in this company on chasing debut. The Gold Well gelding Galvin also makes his chasing introduction and can compete with Cap York, who was still in contention when falling at the second last at Fairyhouse earlier this month, for the minor honours.
- Battleoverdoyen
- Galvin
