Flemensfirth gelding whose price rose to £70,000 as a four-year-old. Runner-up in sole point-to-point start in May and should have a say on rules debut.

1/1
Placed in both Irish bumpers in the spring (favourite in both cases), those efforts amount to fair form and sets the standard for the others to aim at.
Made the frame, third of 12, in Ballinrobe bumper on debut last month and Patrick Mullins stays on board now. Should be improvement to come.
A €25,000 three-year-old Secret Singer gelding, he's a half-brother to numerous winners and needs a close inspection on first start.
Sans Frontieres out of a Mujadil mare. Fifth of eight on debut at Tramore recently having gone off a 25-1 chance, will require plenty more to have a leading say.

Horse silk

Unfancied on debut at Fairyhouse six months ago and unseated rider. Back from a break and watching brief sensible.

14/1
Power gelding; dam, 1m winner who stayed further, half-sister to fair hurdler/fairly useful staying chaser Haar. Looks to be second choice of Noel Meade's pair.
Nicely bred son of Dylan Thomas, didn't show enough in a heavy-ground bumper here on debut 18 days ago to merit selection now.

Forecasts

Farceur Du Large (1/1), Don Diablo (5/2), Freedom To Dream (7/1), Favori Logique (8/1), Powerful Ted (14/1), Lovely Moon (20/1), Barrys Rock (33/1), Henry Sellers (33/1), Presenting Dylan (50/1)

Verdict

Farceur Du Large sets the standard based on his efforts in two bumpers earlier in the year. He returns with the Noel Meade yard in good form and sets the standard. Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd team up with a likely-looking rules debutant in DON DIABLO. He changed hands for £70,000 as a four-year-old and can give his in-form rider another score having finished second on his only point-to-point start. Favori Logique is a likely improver with Patrick Mullins staying faithful while Freedom To Dream is another notable debutant.
  1. Don Diablo
  2. Farceur Du Large
  3. Favori Logique
