Just 1-21 over hurdles previously and last spotted falling over fences at Kilbeggan in June. Would have a chance from this mark on old form; but must prove he can find that level of performance again.
7lb clear of February's Fairyhouse win-mark and has toiled in three starts over timber since (also twice held on the Flat). Hard to be confident after recent Punchestown defeat.
Chase winner at Downpatrick in August, well enough held in four runs since (three over hurdles and including a C&D claimer last month) but can't be ruled out with certainty.
Last win came more than four years over fences at Killarney from a mark of 135. Pulled up at Limerick over 3m in sole 2019 outing to date and hard to recommend after 198-day break.
Second runner for trainer in this, big prices and failed to impress in five starts over timber to this point. Will have to find large-scale improvement seemingly.
Three wide margin defeats thus far in maiden hurdles, would only become of interest on handicap bow should the market speak in his favour.
Returning from a 572-day absence for stable bow over C&D earlier this month, taking a tired fall late on when looking held in fifth. Perhaps best watched once more with that in mind.
Daughter of Yeats, achieved nothing of note in three maiden hurdles last season from 2m-2m6½f and will have to be an improved performer switched to handicaps on return to action.
Tailed off in three maiden hurdles so far, latest being last month over 2m4f at Roscommon on testing ground. Makes handicap debut with improvement to find.
Unplaced in four starts over timber, including 30L defeat on handicap bow at Wexford in June over similar trip on good to yielding ground. Work to do on that evidence.
Beaten over 10L on return to action following a 184-day break here last month over extended 2m and couldn't justify market prominence since at Downpatrick upped in trip. May fare better back here.
Scorpion mare, unplaced in five starts over timber and rather flattered to deceive over shorter trip here last month, finding less than looked likely at business end. Up in trip.
Yet to show any discernible form in five starts over timber, including handicaps at Wexford and Gowran Park either side of summer break. Up in trip and improvement demanded.
Narrow success over extended-2m here in September 2018 remains his lone success from 16 over timber, failing to even make the frame in his other efforts. Poor form recently and opposable.
Dragon Pulse mare is unplaced in nine goes over timber and on the evidence of 2019 form, would rank as a shock winner. Overlooked.
Has failed to hit the frame in six innocuous hurdle starts to date including when nearer last than first when last seen in March. Unlikely to be troubling the judge on seasonal bow.
Forecasts
Muroor (7/2), Midland Millie (4/1), Georgieshore (5/1), Johanna Yeats (5/1), Moyode Lady (11/1), Emily Square (11/1), Fair Minded (12/1), Grey Habit (14/1), Feyan (16/1), Road By The River (16/1), Western Doyen (16/1), Baby Bellini (16/1), Pull The Other One (25/1), Letter Of Credit (25/1), Dragon Queen (33/1), Bomber Jackson (33/1)
Plenty of these can be opposed. MIDLAND MILLIE shaped nicely on return here last month and can be forgiven a lesser effort since at Downpatrick having made a couple of jumping errors. She can offer better back here in a wide open contest. Moyode Lady was a bit disappointing in the finish at this venue last time but did at least offer something to work with. Muroor won over fences in August and could have a say, while Fair Minded is a possible improver now turning to handicaps.
- Midland Millie
- Moyode Lady
- Muroor
