Quickly progressing as a chaser, 2-3 after recent scores at Kilbeggan and Tipperary over 2m4f. Drop in trip fine and big player despite top-weight.

Successful on chasing debut in a Ballinrobe 2m7f beginners' contest in August. Out of form over hurdles since and more demanded in this contest seemingly.
Solid if unspectacular form after winning Limerick maiden hurdle (2m, good to yielding) on first start last season. Could well do better over fences and potential to go well fresh ensures he is worth a check.

Fair hurdler, not typically bred for this game however and eventually beaten 50L on chase introduction over 2m2f here recently.

Bit to find with some of these on hurdles form, winner at this course over shorter last month in that sphere but disappointed back here soon after. Needs to raise game on chase bow.

Improved to win Naas handicap hurdle over this sort of trip in March off a rating of 116. Changed hands since and booking of Davy Russell rates a positive on first start over fences.
Yet to convince with his fencing in five runs in this sphere, though held every chance when unseating at the last fence at Kilbeggan last month. Second runner for Joseph O'Brien and that run was more encouraging.

Dual hurdles winner, coming to chasing late at 10-years-old and three autumn starts (two over C&D) have not offered a lot to be positive about.
9

French import, placed in five of his 10 starts over hurdles for Tony Martin but remains a maiden and needs to find a chunk of improvement on chase debut against well-equipped rivals.

Continues to run well over fences without threatening to win. Modest third over C&D last time out ensures he has been placed in four of five starts over these Ballybrit fences. Similar aspirations likely.

The 2017 Galway Hurdle remains his most recent success and his four-race chasing career hasn't so far offered much sign of a chance in fortune. Trainer runs four and appears down pecking order on jokey arrangements.

Runner-up in Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham in January, he fell on chase bow in August when moving well and twice placed over this C&D since; latest behind easy winner with Stormey 5½L behind him in third. Leading player.

Forecasts

Fine Brunello (5/2), Visioman (10/3), Mount Pelier (4/1), Aforementioned (9/2), Dumhach Thra (12/1), Stormey (14/1), Sil Ver Klass (20/1), Brex Drago (20/1), Paris Texas (25/1), Ozzie's Way (28/1), Tigris River (33/1), Princely Conn (50/1)

Verdict

The leading players are arguably at the top and bottom of the racecard. Fine Brunello has twice placed over C&D recently and looks sure to be on the board before long but VISIOMAN is progressing quickly over fences and may add to recent scores at Kilbeggan and Tipperary. Henry De Bromhead has won the last three renewals of this race and looks to have another rock-solid player. Stormey is best of the rest on form, though Mount Pelier and Aforementioned merit betting checks.
  1. Visioman
  2. Fine Brunello
  3. Aforementioned
