From the Listed-placed 1m2f AW winner Wahgah; off the mark at the third attempt when getting first run on the well backed newcomer Rideson (7f, Chelmsford); penalised accordingly yet brings a strong level of form to the table.
By Lope De Vega (30,000gns vendor foal); first foal from a half-sister to the 1m-1m2f winner Garde Cotiere.

By Dubawi, and a fourth foal out of the 1m-1m2f winner Nahrain; sister to the Group 1 winner Benbatl (7f-1m2f); one to monitor closely in the betting exchanges with her trainer having a solid form line with Tadreej (through Rideson).

Third foal from a moderate dam; sister to the 1m-1m1f winner Warp Factor; half-sister to the 1m-1m1f winner Set In Stone; faces a tough task on debut.

By War Front ($1,750,000 yearling); fourth foal from a 6f US dirt winner (Seeking Gabrielle); half-sister to three winners in the USA, most notably Nyquist (5f-1m2f, inc the Breeders Cup Juvenile and the Kentucky Derby).

By Dark Angel (62,000gns yearling); half-sister to three winners; has made little impact in two starts on turf (7f); will need to improve exponentially in order to play a positive role in this contest.

Big prices and down the field on both starts (6f, Catterick and Southwell); simply can't be the solution; look elsewhere with a high degree of confidence.

By Raven's Pass (€21,000 yearling) out of a 1m AW winner; fourth foal; half-sister to the 7f-1m AW winner Katie Lee; will almost certainly find easier assignments in the future.

Consistent (2332) and arguably took a small step forward when a 3L runner-up to Tiempo Vuela (a stablemate of Maria Rosa) over 1m here 16 days ago; again likely to find one or two stronger.

Forecasts

Maria Rosa (8/13), Tulip Fields (4/1), Tadreej (4/1), Fooraat (5/1), Nibras Shadow (40/1), Time Voyage (50/1), Amor De Vega (50/1), Jaggy Nettle (125/1), Queen Of Rock (200/1)

Verdict

Godolphin are doubly-represented in what is potentially an above average fillies' novice. The penalised Tadreej got first run on the well backed Roger Varian-trained newcomer Rideson (saddles fellow debutant Fooraat - a sister to Benbatl) when breaking the maiden tag at Chelmsford (7f) three weeks ago. However, the most eye-catching runner is the John Gosden-trained daughter of War Front MARIA ROSA who cost $1,750,000 as a yearling. She is bred for competing on artificial surfaces as a half-sister to the Breeders Cup Juvenile and Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist, and is fancied to further enhance her trainers outstanding juvenile record (18-34; 53%) at this track.
  1. Maria Rosa
  2. Tadreej
  3. Fooraat
