Been popular in the betting on several occasions and justified the support when winning at Chelmsford (7f, standard) in July. Only raced twice since but posted a solid effort over C&D earlier this month. Looks shortlist material from a handy mark.

Behind Brigand here earlier this month and paid the price for a slow start and pulling hard through the race. He's been hard to get right and is yet to win for his current yard since being claimed for £8,000 last December.

Irish form is respectable in comparison to that of her rivals and it's notable that the filly's yard target this race rather than attempt to get her a run back at Dundalk; a strong pace will suit the filly ideally. Well worth considering.

Off the mark with a win at Newcastle in January but wasn't seen again until the start of last month. Been kept busy since and showed the benefit with a solid effort on the Fibresand last week. Place claims again if overcoming a wide draw.

First race since finishing down the field in a Class 6 handicap at Kempton in March and needs a big step forward from that display. The pick of her previous form is reasonable, though. Another with place claims if a tongue tie elicits improvement.

Has run several good races in defeat but, with her current record standing at 0-24, the flaws are plain to see. The filly does have a good attitude, though, and is capable of being thereabouts again now she's had a couple or recent spins on the AW.

Showed guts to win here in a 6f classified stakes earlier in the month but has enough form over this trip to merit being involved in the shake-up. Won a maiden handicap from a 1lb lower mark in July and little to find to boost his profile further.

Won a brace of races over an extended 5f in May but below par in a couple of starts shortly after; also showed very little on his return at Brighton last time out. 0-7 on the AW and readily brushed aside on his only previous run here.

Has a good engine and has made the frame five times since May. Winning is more elusive, though. Likely to be doing his best work at the finish but he lacks experience of the surface so the betting will have to guide on his Tapeta debut.

Lightly raced three-year-old who created a favourable impression on his handicap debut at Ripon in July. Disappointed in his only start since and a lot to prove now switched to the All Weather after a break since August.

Last win was from a mark of 74 in a veterans handicap at Chepstow in May but he's been in decline since. Recently joined a yard with an excellent reputation for revitalising horses but this fellow might still be best just watched this time.

Forecasts

Sharrabang (3/1), Footsteps At Dawn (4/1), Brigand (5/1), Scandinavian Lady (11/2), Puchita (8/1), Capla Demon (14/1), Torque Of The Town (18/1), Tarrzan (20/1), Pocket Warrior (20/1), Deadly Accurate (25/1), Nananita (33/1), Satchville Flyer (40/1)

Verdict

Footsteps At Dawn is an interesting raider from Ireland and should be monitored closely in the betting, while, odds permitting, each-way support for Brigand and Puchita can be justified given the recent series of good efforts posted by both. Similar comments apply to Tarrzan but he lacks experience of the surface and his style of running means he'll need to face-down any kick-back if he's going to prevail. SHARRABANG, on the other hand, raised his game under Megan Nicholls here 12 days ago and, with the return to 7f not expected to pose any problems, he looks worth persevering with whilst confidence will be on a high.
  1. Sharrabang
