Made good progress as a novice hurdler last term and now makes chasing debut on his seasonal return. Powerful stable are in-form, and he is only 2lb inferior to Tidal Flow on hurdles ratings. Interesting contender.
Lightly raced sort who won his novice hurdle around this track last year on heavy ground. Underwhelming when switched to handicap company. Interesting connections opt to waste no time before sending him over fences on just his seventh career run.
Rated 135 as a hurdler. Performance at Aintree in the spring should be forgiven. Does seem to prefer ground with give in it so conditions are likely to suit. Could have a say on chasing bow.
Only had the three career starts and is now sent chasing, but connections are evidently very keen to get him over fences. Was eight-lengths behind Lamanver Pippin last season, but may have improved since then.
Looked extremely green at times, while also producing a pair of highly promising performances last season. Does look made for fences, and shaped like a real stayer last year so this is as sharp as he would want it. Major player.
Finished third in a Grade 1 novice hurdle a Aintree in April 2018. However, nothing went right last season in any of her three starts (fell and pulled-up on two occasions). Now has quite a bit to prove on her chasing debut.
Won a pair of good-quality handicaps in the early stages of last season before being stepped up in class where she couldn't quite cut it. This is a competitive contest to make chasing/seasonal debut in, but she is no forlorn hope.

Forecasts
Tidal Flow (5/2), Poker Play (3/1), Dr Sanderson (7/2), Momella (4/1), Sensulano (7/1), Full Bore (10/1), Secret Reprieve (14/1), Lamanver Pippin (20/1)
A good quality renewal of this race with an array of different profiles on show. The only one in this field with previous chasing experience beside his name is Poker Play who came back lame when third at Worcester last year. He enjoyed a productive campaign over hurdles last season and should have a big part to play in this contest, as should Dr. Sanderson who was a winner here over 2m back in February. The most exciting horse in the line-up though is TIDAL FLOW who displayed a likeable attitude when winning twice over hurdles last season despite looking a bit green at times. He holds plenty of potential as he goes over fences and should make into a graded animal.
