A course winner over 7f as a juvenile and has made good progress over the last couple of seasons. Consistent in decent handicaps of late and certainly merits an interest despite having to shoulder top weight. (Back on a winning mark.)
Has scope to improve further and the fitting of a hood is an interesting move given the fact he raced too freely at Ascot last time. The concentration aid could be a big help now he returns to the scene of his racecourse introduction; a contender.
Won over an extended 7f at Beverley (good ground) in August but held on turf twice since. However, he's a much higher rated horse on the AW and faces no easy task on these terms. Needs to better recent form and this higher grade won't make it easy.
In good form on the AW prior to a below par run in this grade at Kempton at the start of this month. There has to be the suspicion that the handicapper is now in control given the way he was outgunned last time out. Switch to Tapeta also a quandary.
Stablemate of Attainment and Fields Of Athenry but open to far more progress; won his last two starts in an authoritative manner and is on an upward trajectory. However, this is a big step up in class and he has no experience of the AW.
Held in a Class 2 handicap at Chelmsford when last seen but has won at this course before and might have more to offer now back on Tapeta. The betting can guide as to where he stands in the pecking order with his stablemates (yard runs three.)
Not done very much wrong in three starts so far and has to be respected as progressive three-year-old taking on older horses for the first time. Could do no more than win as a 4/11 favourite last time but this is much more of an acid test.
Won a novice maiden auction at Newbury last August and then a managed to land a Listed race in France around this time last year. Not been plain sailing since and looks in need of assistance from the handicapper after three modest efforts of late.
has tried and failed in the grade before and makes limited appeal on Tapeta debut after posting regressive form lately.
Third behind Attainment at Chelmsford last month but better off at the weights so might give his old rival a good run in a match bet. However, he's another with limited scope in this grade given that he's been found wanting at this level before now.

Tempus (5/2), Casanova (5/2), Fields Of Athenry (15/2), Hot Team (8/1), New Arrangement (9/1), Harbour Spirit (14/1), Attainment (16/1), Calder Prince (20/1), Cliffs Of Capri (22/1), Rampant Lion (40/1)
CLIFFS OF CAPRI and Casanova look the two to concentrate on; with the first named, who has won from this mark before, being the more battle-hardened campaigner and just edging a narrow vote of confidence. Attainment looks the pick of James Tate's trio of intended runners and can at least make the frame if he handles racing on Tapeta. There might also be a lot more to come from Tempus, who is another three-year-old who has been progressive so far and merits a betting check even though he's up in grade and this is his sternest challenge up to press. Similar comments apply to New Arrangement, who also has to prove himself capable on this new (to him) surface.
