Good effort on handicap debut at Chester last month and more to offer given the proximity to higher-rated individuals. Has experience of this surface so lots going for him now his yard is back among the winners.

Blinkered for the first time after a modest effort in the £150K Tattersalls Sales race at Newmarket earlier this month. This is an easier assignment but the filly hasn't always looked the easiest of rides. Gets on well with Nicola Currie, though.

Won at Bath on her penultimate start but well held when upped to 6f here last time; that race was no stronger than this one, so she now has something to prove. Dropping back to 5f will suit.

Won a Class 6 nursery at Musselburgh in August but things haven't really worked out for the Camacho colt since then; in spite of which, the handicapper raised him 2lb after finishing third at Chelmsford last month. Stiff test ahead.

Best effort when second in a novice auction at Musselburgh in early September; held in both starts since and has a bit to prove on his debut run on an AW surface. He's a half-brother to AW winner Compton River, so should cope; the betting can guide.

Just ahead of Too Hard to Hold at Kempton when in receipt of 1lb just over a fortnight ago and may have done better had he not raced wide on that occasion. That was his best effort yet and might have more to come now switched to Tapeta.

0-7 so far but handled this surface well enough when tried over 6f here in August; ran above market expectations to finish fourth but below that standard twice since. Been dropped a further 1lb since his last start but looks of ordinary ability.

C&D winner from a 4lb lower mark when dropped back in trip 15 days ago and seems to be getting the hang of things; has speed near her in the stalls so should have the race run to suit. Possible there's more to come.

Made very little worthwhile impression in any of her three starts so far and needs drastic improvement now she tries a handicap for the first time (her paltry rating of 28 leaves her with awful lot to prove.

Forecasts

Hot Heels (15/8), Swinley (10/3), Aryaaf (5/1), Too Hard To Hold (7/1), Seraphinite (9/1), A Go Go (11/1), Havana Dawn (12/1), Get Boosting (16/1), Street Life (25/1), La Chica Lobo (33/1), Hot Hot Hot (66/1)

Verdict

HOT HEELS helps to set a decent standard to aim at and could be hard to resist if winding up with an improved effort now he's back on the Tapeta; the colt ran well on both previous tries on this surface and will appreciate the ease in grade from last time. Seraphinite is another dropping grade after finding things happening too quickly a big sales race at Newmarket earlier in the month, but she was originally though good enough to run in the Albany Stakes at Ascot so is another who has seen the aspirations lowered. Swinley and Too Hard To Hold are closely matched and also be expected to be thereabouts if upping their games. A GO GO is best of the rest.
