His sole success came at this track over 6f. Has been unable to follow that victory up. He was disappointing last time as he had just one horse behind him in a 15 runner field at Chelmsford (1m). Needs to bounce back from latest.

A four-time winner but his latest success was back in August 2017. He finished sixth of 11 here over 5f last time out in handicap company. Back up in trip now where he is a big player at this level.

Has failed to beat a single horse in her three starts on the track. Her latest appearance came at Ffos Las (7½f) back in July in a seven runner contest. Set for her first run for her new yard here. Difficult to fancy.

Scored at Newcastle (6f) back in February. His form recently has been below his best though, including when he was 10th of 14 on his return to Newcastle (6f). Others appeal more on what he has shown recently..

Remains a maiden after 28 races. Ran well at Chester (7½f) last time out though as he was second of 12 after going off at 50/1. Worth consideration as his latest performance would give him a solid chance.

Has been very busy this year without success. He ran well at this trip at Southwell two starts back when he was fourth of 13 in a handicap contest. Finished fifth of 14 last time at Southwell (1m). One to consider here.

A C&D winner here and has shown some decent form at this track already this year. He could only finish ninth of 12 last time at Windsor (6f). Will appreciate the return to this course. One for the shortlist.

Has shown very little across his five starts so far. He was 11th of 13 at Chelmsford (6f) on his latest appearance which was his first run for his new yard. Needs to take a huge stride forward to be in the mix.

Is 0-5 so far in his career where there have been no encouraging signs just yet. She was 10th of 13 last time at Kempton (7f) where she was always at the rear end of the field. Cheekpieces are on for the first time. Difficult to make a case for her.

Produced his best performance yet last time when he was just 3¼L away in fifth place of 10 at Carlisle (6f). Set for his first appearance on the AW here on his step up in trip. Not to be completely ignored.

Has improved for switching to the AW surface. He finished sixth of 13 runners on his latest start at Chelmsford (6f) after going off at 8/1. Set for his opening outing at this distance. Cheekpieces are on for the first time. One to watch.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Jane Elliott(3)| T: W R Muir| OR:  45
16/1
Is still a maiden after nine runs. Has not looked like winning on her recent starts, including when she was ninth of 15 at Chepstow (1m) on her latest appearance. This assignment is easier so she can't be ignored.

Forecasts

The King's Steed (11/4), Searanger (9/2), Cuban Spirit (11/2), Dodgy Bob (6/1), Manzoni (8/1), Kyllachy Castle (12/1), So Claire (16/1), Caesonia (16/1), Prince Consort (16/1), Picks Pinta (18/1), Badger Berry (25/1), Jazzameer (66/1)

Verdict

It has been a long time since DODGY BOB was last successful, however, he is good enough to prevail at this level on his return to this trip so have confidence in the experienced gelding. Searanger has been running modestly well recently so he shouldn't be too far away in this contest where he is more than capable of being in the fold, while The King's Steed is a C&D winner and can fill the placings on his return to this track.
  1. Dodgy Bob
  2. Searanger
  3. The King's Steed
