Yard have a good record here but only 2-36 with bumper newcomers last five years; tongue-tie on for her debut. By New Approach price dropped €28,000 from foal to yearling; good Flat pedigree but other newcomers preferred.
Yard have an 18% strike-rate in the last five years with bumper newcomers. This one comes from a good jumping family having not been beaten far in her sole Irish point-to-point last April; worth noting a market move.
From last year's winning stable she sold for a lofty £130,000 after winning hard held on her point-to-point debut in early May. Filly is a full sister to useful 2m-3m hurdle/very useful chase winner Beg To Differ; nice prospect, leading prospect.
Unsuccessful in a two Irish point-to-points before finishing well held in two bumper starts failing to progress from her debut at Sedgefield last time. Hard to think she would be good enough to win this on what she's shown so far.
Easy to back on her Newcastle bumper debut back in March she failed to progress when last seen in April although that was in more exacting company. Returns to action after a summer off, better expected but does face some useful types.
Yard 10-52 with newcomers in this sphere (last five years); by Fame And Glory she's half-sister to a point-to-point winner. Dam, maiden hurdler, given the yard's record in this discipline worth keeping an eye on in the betting market.
By Scorpion out of a Sadler's Wells mare this half-sister to three winners on the Flat showed some promise on her June Perth debut (2m, good/soft). Better than the distance she was beaten she looks one of the improvers in the field.
Rare bumper runner from this yard who ran to just a poor level and finished well held on her Hexham debut in June getting outpaced before staying on late. Easy to back on that occasion she's not expected to trouble the principals.
Didn't quite make the expected step forward on her second bumper start although she was highly tried in a Class 2 event at Newbury; not disgraced though. Encounters calmer waters on her return and should make a deeper impression; experience helps.
Newcomer from a yard who are 0-9 with their bumper debutants (last five years); by Fame And Glory she's a half-sister to a point-to-point winner, dam Listed-placed 1m2f Flat/useful 2m-2m2f hurdle/chase winner; worth a market check.
Started 25-1 on her only bumper start so far faring better than her SP suggested despite running green and showing some obvious inexperience. May well improve for that run and the jockey booking catches the eye.
Beaten 7L into the runner-up slot on her only Irish point-to-point start earlier in the year, now makes her bumper debut (yard 8-44 last five years with newcomers). Needs to show a little more but not ruled out.
Hooded for the first-time having run to a poor level on her debut her performance failing to match her pedigree. Never dangerous on her initial run she'll need to improve to get involved and faces some useful types; one of the lesser lights.
Started 4-1 on her Irish point-to-point debut which suggested that she had ability and so it proved when falling three out. Given her connections she's sure to be of interest on her bumper debut, one of the more likely sorts.
Bought for €155,1000 after two Irish point-to-point starts, successful on the second of those two winning by an eased down 12L. Full sister to bumper and Listed hurdle winner Jarveys Plate; type to improve with time and distance; leading player.

A terrific field for this mares’ bumper although with a fair few newcomers it’s not an easy contest to work out. Ruth Jefferson took this contest last year her BLOSSOMING FORTH is taken to give her another victory having made a very taking debut in the point-to-point sphere before costing an eye-watering £130,000 at the sales. Southern Girl is another expensive purchase who looks capable of winning in this sphere with Silk And Satin another recruit from between the flags also of interest. Legends Ryde is sure to put her experience to good use and may well find this easier than her last time out Newbury test whilst Kleos and Porterhouse are worth noting in the betting.
- Blossoming Forth
- Legends Ryde
- Southern Girl
