Colt by Starspangledbanner weakened into 10th of 12 here last month and although he'll have learnt plenty is again best watched today.

Once raced son of Maxios showed genuine ability when fifth of 12 on debut here last month. Stable's two-year-olds improve plenty for their first race so a bold bid now entirely likely.

€120,000 yearling by crack sire Siyouni was a well beaten fifth of 12 on debut at Kempton last month but he ought to improve for that so isn't overlooked even though others are preferred.
175,000gns breeze-up purchase a half-brother to 1m winner Master Of Wine and one to note in the market on debut although yard's two-year-olds rarely rushed along.

Make Believe newcomer whose two earlier half siblings Momkin (7f 2yo) and Orbaan (French 1m inc Listed) both won races. One to note in the market for champion trainer.
Cost €1,700 as a foal; half-brother to 2yo 6f winner The Chazz; dam winner up to 6f (including at two); would be a surprise winner.

Newcomer by Dark Angel a half-brother to 1m 2yo/1m2f Group 3 winner Nausha looks one worth noting in the market on debut and comparison to once-raced stablemate Jumaira Bay will be useful.

Looked a long term prospect in two forgettable races on the AW to date and probably one for handicaps.
Invincible Spirit colt was keen early on but showed significant promise when fourth in a Newmarket maiden which looked red-hot and won by a Ballydoyle trained favourite. This will be a deal weaker and will have learned plenty; leading claims.

€30,000 yearling a half-sister to three winners but best watched for relatively new yard with little two-year-old pedigree.

Forecasts

Society Lion (6/4), Mishriff (5/2), Jumaira Bay (7/1), Frankly Mr Shankly (7/1), Naizagai (8/1), Dawn View (10/1), Master The Stars (14/1), London (18/1), Last Days Of May (33/1), Flying Standard (66/1), Revolver (100/1), Kates Star (100/1), Moment Of Peace (200/1)

Verdict

The maiden contested by SOCIETY LION on Newmarket's Rowley Mile is likely to work out as a particularly hot one and in this weaker looking race he gets the nod for Sir Michael Stoute whose two-year-olds tend to need their first run. Michael Bell's two-year-olds also improve plenty for their debut run so his promising debutant Frankly Mr Shankly is also a likely sort. Of the newcomers Mishriff is most appealing as a resident at John Gosden's yard.
  1. Society Lion
  2. Frankly Mr Shankly
  3. Mishriff
