Western Victory9
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Mark Walsh| T: D Queally| OR:  138
11/8
Made an impressive debut for this stable when winning by 11L in a conditions hurdle over an extended 2m5f at Galway (soft) last month and followed up over 2m at Gowran Park in a Listed contest; gives weight away all round but solid claims.

10/1
Closely matched with Western Victory (twice finished behind her); receives weight here but it still might not be enough to turn the tables unless showing much improved form.

In A Pinch119
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: J J Slevin| T: S Slevin| OR:  106
40/1
Plenty to find on official ratings; showed she was on the upgrade when winning at Tramore in June but struggled when upped in the weights next time at Downpatrick; an unlikely winner.

Listen Dear9
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-0| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| C
14/1
Struggled in a Flat maiden and a beginners chase in two starts since returning from a break. Was a Grade 3 winner over both hurdles and fences in her youth but finished last on latest start at Gowran Park and others preferred at present.

Oh Me Oh My175
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: M Hamill| T: Ms M Flynn| OR:  102
66/1
Much better chaser than hurdler; only one maiden hurdle win to her name and nearly too years since her last outing over the smaller obstacles; difficult to make a strong case for.

Black Tears15
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| OR:  133
5/2
Smart hurdler who probably needed her reappearance run at Navan in late September; she ran well in defeat in better races than this last season and looks the one they all have to beat.

Sizing Malbay5
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: K J Brouder| T: S J Mahon| OR:  103| D
50/1
Had been in excellent form from August onwards until stepped up to this trip at Ballinrobe in September and well beaten last week at Galway; something to prove at present.

Well Set Up13
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-10| J: Ricky Doyle| T: M Fahey
11/4
Showed she had progressed over the summer when winning a maiden hurdle at Roscommon in late September; entitled to improve again but this a huge step up in class and may be beyond her at present.

Forecasts

Western Victory (11/8), Black Tears (5/2), Well Set Up (11/4), Awayinthewest (10/1), Listen Dear (14/1), In A Pinch (40/1), Sizing Malbay (50/1), Oh Me Oh My (66/1)

Verdict

BLACK TEARS is the selection given her efforts in better races than this over the past year. There was much to like about her performance recently at Navan when stepping up in trip for the first time and a repeat of that effort may see her being hard to beat. Western Victory looks the obvious danger but she may struggle to give away the weight to her rival despite looking on the upgrade at present. She is closely matched with Awayinthewest and expect them to finish near each other once again.
  1. Black Tears
  2. Western Victory
  3. Awayinthewest
