Back to form when running out a ready winner at Gowran Park last time out, well backed to do so; conditions to suit again but a whopping 16lb rise for that demands more, and that was only his second win in 40 starts.
Three wins in 42 starts shows he's no win machine, some reasonable efforts over fences this summer/autumn and reverts to hurdles on a lower mark, so can't be totally ruled out under conditions that suit.
Three wins in 29 starts but on the plus side, two of them have come over this C&D and he has his ground; has some poor recent efforts to put behind but may well come alive back at this venue, and not totally written off.
C&D chase winner here in August and on the same mark today, so no qualms from a handicapping point of view; probably didn't get home over just short of 3m here last time and might appreciate the drop back in trip.
Won a maiden hurdle here in July and mainly credible efforts since, giving the impression there are more races to be won with her; still looks on a fair mark and with conditions fine, holds e/w chances here.
Another that seems to reserve some of his better efforts for this track (form figures here 1214), and bounced back from a couple of disappointing efforts to finish a close fourth here last time out; another to consider.
Three wins to his name, and now back on his last winning mar after a few moderate efforts last year; not seen out since last December and no great record fresh, so best watched today.
Two wins in 24 starts, both coming on the Flat when trained in England by Mick Channon, but already looks regressive and has little to show for recent efforts. Readily opposed.
Yet to score in 15 starts but has been fairly consistent as of late, and put in her best effort for a while when a close second over C&D last time out. Up 2lb for that but conditions fine and no reason not to run her race again.
Forecasts
Tiger Twenty Two (11/8), Muroor (9/2), Santa Anna (6/1), Our Brian (6/1), Persian Wind (10/1), Laureate (10/1), Alterno (16/1), The Trigger (20/1), Macho Mover (33/1)
Tiger Twenty Two won with a bit on hand on his second start for his new yard but the handicapper has given him a real whack for it, and he'll need more. OUR BRIAN might be worth a try at his favourite venue, as he does seem to run his race here before disappointing elsewhere. If he can repeat his latest effort, he should be around at the finish. Alterno is another that likes it here and could bounce back, and both Laureate and Santa Anna are worth consideration in an open event.
- Our Brian
- Tiger Twenty Two
