First win in two years when taking 2m5f good-ground Fakenham handicap in May from 4lb lower than this. Went close again at Huntingdon over 3m that month but two poor runs after leave questions to answer.
Took advantage of plummeting rating to score at Worcester (2m7f, good) in July despite idling a bit in the closing stages. Runner-up after at Stratford (3m4f) but comes here off a poor showing back at Worcester in amateurs' contest last month.
Front-running sort, no win in over two years and hard to be enthused by his two efforts at Stratford and Worcester since returning from a break with this new trainer. Best watched for now.
An 18-race maiden, he has finished second on his last three runs at Chepstow and Newton Abbot, all over this sort of trip. Retains first-time visor he sported last month and clearly has a chance from an unchanged mark.
Maiden, well held all three starts since joining this trainer. The handicapper has offered a chunk of relief now and this isn't a deep race but will certainly have to find some improvement.
Handicap mark has plummeted after four runs for this trainer, but as yet there aren't any signs to suggest he will be taking advantage. Best watched at the moment.
Just the four starts under rules and yet to finish within hailing distance of a winner. Unseated on sole chase start in Ireland in July 2018 and sent off three-figure prices in pair of novice hurdles for this yard at Newton Abbot recently. Big ask.
Just 1-16 over fences, win coming back in 2017, though has seemingly turned a corner with trio of sound efforts at Stratford and Newton Abbot since early August. 4lb out of the handicap here but is at least in form.

Forecasts
Midnight Magic (5/2), Master Sunrise (7/2), Culm Counsellor (5/1), Max O (5/1), This Breac (11/2), Mr Satco (11/2), Butlergrove King (8/1), Charlie Mon (25/1), Ballycanew (33/1)
Butlergrove King started off very well for this trainer earlier in the year and could go well again having enjoyed a summer break, while Master Sunrise is another with some interesting form if bouncing back from a poor run last time. Long-standing maiden Midnight Magic has knocked on the door a couple of times recently and may do so again, with his form also bringing Culm Counsellor into the argument. There are no stars here and having finished third on his last three starts, MAX O appeals as being as likely as any to go close from an unchanged mark.
