Ran well to finish runner-up in a 2m contest at Plumpton (good-to-firm) when making his hurdling debut last month. One to note with improvement likely.
Finished fifth on both hurdles starts so far most recently when beaten 15L at Worcester (2m, good) at the end of August. More needed if he's to take this event.

Unraced Ocovango gelding bought for €12,000 at the sales as a foal. Dam an unraced half-sister to useful pair Klepht and Welsh Shadow and he is an interesting runner for a top stable on racecourse debut.
13 race maiden under all codes and was beaten 45L when eighth in a 2m contest on hurdling debut at Worcester (good) in August. Others make more appeal.

Promising third in a maiden hurdle over an extended 2m at Down Royal (good) on jumping debut at the end of August. Changed stables since and is of interest in this contest.

Ran well to finish third in a 1m6f handicap at Salisbury (good-to-firm) early last month. Represents a decent yard and market support would be notable switched to hurdles for the first time.

Placed in a 1m handicap at Chepstow (good) on his penultimate start. Struggled last time out however and others make more appeal on hurdles debut.

13 race maiden on the Flat and finished well beaten when last of seven over 1m2f at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) in August. Others hold stronger claims on jumps and stable debut.

Forecasts

Olympic Honour (2/1), Langer Dan (11/4), Brambledown (6/1), War Eagle (13/2), Gino Wotimean (9/1), Two Blondes (14/1), Sarasota Star (20/1), Tabou Beach Boy (33/1), Mi Laddo (50/1), Willett (50/1), Global Goddess (66/1)

Verdict

BRAMBLEDOWN showed up well when runner-up on jumping debut last month and he can go one better in the opening race on the card. Olympic Honour is another to have placed on his sole previous hurdles start and he is taken to claim second spot ahead of the debutant Langer Dan who represents a top stable.
  1. Brambledown
  2. Olympic Honour
  3. Langer Dan
