Good second in a small field 3m2f handicap hurdle at Fontwell (soft) in March. Outclassed in a Grade 3 handicap at Aintree (3m, good) the following month and races off a mark 21lb higher than when taking this race 12 months ago.

Well held 14th in a 21 runner Grade 3 handicap at Aintree (good) over an extended 3m in April. Making his seasonal reappearance off a mark 4lb higher than for his most recent victory.

Some fair efforts over fences last season but pulled up in first time blinkers (absent here) at Exeter (2m3f, good) on his final start of the campaign. Worth a check in the market on return to hurdling.

Good third in a handicap hurdle over an extended 2m7f at Uttoxeter (good) in February. Disappointed in two subsequent starts last campaign and is worth a check in the market on seasonal debut.

Ran well to finish 11L fifth behind subsequent dual Grade 1 winner Paisley Park at Aintree (2m4f, good) last October. Absent since however but is interesting having won over C&D in the past.

Successful twice over hurdles including by 7L at Kempton (2m5f, good) in May. Changed yards since a slightly disappointed effort at Aintree later that month and races off a mark 11lb higher than for that Kempton victory.

Failed to finish in two starts since winning by 11L over an extended 2m3f at Bangor (soft) in March. Probably best watched having unseated rider at the first on recent seasonal debut at Worcester (2m4f, soft).

Black Buble165
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.(3)| T: A W Carroll| OR:  124| BF
7/1
Bidding to complete a hat-trick when finishing a neck second in a three runner handicap hurdle at Kempton (2m5f, good-to-firm) in April. Has won over further in the past and is of interest on seasonal reappearance.

Forecasts

Gunfleet (5/2), Neverbeen To Paris (5/1), Boreham Bill (6/1), Black Buble (7/1), Dr Des (8/1), Vive Le Roi (17/2), Eaton Hill (9/1), Copper Gone West (11/1)

Verdict

NEVERBEEN TO PARIS, the youngest horse in the field looked a progressive individual prior to a slightly below par effort on his final start of the campaign and he is taken to resume winning ways by making a winning seasonal debut in this handicap hurdle. Eaton Hill showed good form on his only start last season when fifth to a top class rival and he can take second ahead of Black Buble who was narrowly beaten on his most recent start in April.
  1. Neverbeen To Paris
  2. Eaton Hill
  3. Black Buble
