Had just one horse behind him on his debut at Ayr in a 12 runner contest over 1m. He was slowly into stride on his first start and never got into the race. Steps down in trip slightly here. Needs to improve a lot.
Raven's Pass colt who was foaled on February 19. His dam won over 1m2f and is a half-sister to Turjomaan who was successful over 7f. Interesting newcomer who looks like he can be competitive here on his debut run.
Outstrip colt who was foaled on April 8 and cost 42,000 gns as a two-year-old. His dam won as a two-year at distances between 5f-7f. Is a half-brother to 5f winner Broadhaven Honey. Commands respect on his first start.
Made his debut at Thirsk (5f) back in May where he came home eighth of 12 after the trip looked a little sharp for him. Has been gelded since and is stepping up in distance here. Has to take a step forward from his opening appearance.
Has shown very little on his two starts so far. Finished fifth of eight on his latest attempt at Beverley (7½f) after going off at 50/1. Was a little short for room last time but was only one-paced at the time. More needed here.
Made a modest start to his career when he was fourth of eight at Bevelrey (7½f). Was unable to build upon that last time here over 1m as he had just one horse behind him in a six runner field. Back down in trip. Needs to improve.
Has shown a lot of promise on his five starts so far. He was just ½L away on his penultimate appearance when he was second of five at Musselburgh (7f). Finished third of four last time at Newmarket (7f) on his handicap debut. Big player.
Swiss Spirit filly who was foaled on February 5 and cost £800 as a yearling. Her dam was a winner over 5f-7f. She is a half-sister to Chloellie who prevailed over 6f. Best to watch on his debut appearance.
Has finished third on both of her two runs at Carlisle over 6f. She only just lost second place close home last time after going off at 9/1. Steps up in trip here where she is open to improvement. One to consider.
Was well beaten on her debut when she was eighth of nine at Beverley (5f), beaten by 10L after always being at the rear of the field. Stepping up in distance now on her second attempt. Best to watch for now.
Rock of Gibraltar filly who was foaled on April 8 and cost £17,000 as a yearling. She is a sister to Normandy Barriere who scored over 6f, while she is also a half-sister to 1m2½f winner Ruwi. Likely to be better with experience.
Forecasts
High Accolade (11/10), Saint Of Katowice (10/3), Hajey (13/2), Villa Paloma (14/1), Itwouldberudenotto (20/1), Dandy's Angel (20/1), Reggino (20/1), Bouncing Bobby (25/1), Secret Diary (28/1), La Trinidad (50/1), Charmore (100/1)
This looks a great opportunity for SAINT OF KATOWICE to break his maiden. He has gone close on a number of occasions and on his return to this level, he can finally get his first win in what does not look like a strong contest. Dandy's Angel will most likely improve for this step up in trip so expect her to be in the mix at the finish, while Hajey is the most interesting newcomer on paper and can fill the placings on his debut.
- Saint Of Katowice
- Dandy's Angel
- Hajey
