Mare built on her second here over 2m4f when gaining first chase score at Ffos Las latest back at 2m. Upped 7lb here which isn't enough to rule her out especially with ample time ahead to continue her progress.
Eight time winner over fences won three times here (all over 2m4f) and ran usual game and honest race when second at Bangor when last seen in April. 2m sharp enough so rainfall would help as he acts on heavy ground.
Progressive three-time chase winner struggled in deeper waters at Worcester latest but his win the time before at Stratford showed he remains on the up. Clearly best on fast ground however so rain here would be a big worry.
Market Rasen success latest his second in seven starts for this yard and having looked to have thrown it away by idling he picked up again under pressure and won going away. Obviously has quirks but the sort who can stay ahead of the handicapper.
Ended 2018 in fine form but winless last season and ended season on a sour note when pulled up at Ffos Las. Hopefully do better now but father time looms at age 11.
Five-time winner in France in his younger days but now 0-9 on these shores after a fair third of five at Sedgefield latest. Not entirely ruled out but others look safer investments.
Three-time chase winner won at Taunton last March before pulling up when last seen later that March. Hopefully bounce back but probably up against it at this level.
Forecasts
Grania O'Malley (11/4), Beautiful Ben (3/1), Atlantic Storm (5/1), Truckers Highway (6/1), Horst (7/1), Rock On Rocky (9/1), Royal Act (11/1)
Although not the easiest of rides the talented BEAUTIFUL BEN is taken to follow up with the able assistance of young Jonjo O'Neill Jr in the saddle after almost blowing it last time. He is preferred to likable mare Grania O'Malley who got her first chase win last time out. If significant rain falls Truckers Highway is a danger to all.
