Can't be fancied off this mark after posting a hugely disappointing effort on seasonal comeback in August to finish a well-beaten 10th of 11 at Killarney (2m1f; yielding to soft). Patchy profile and masses to prove.
Pulled-up on seasonal return at Kilbeggan (2m4f; good to yielding) on chase debut at the start of last month. Decent hurdler though, and top jockey booked for this assignment so has to be taken seriously.
Hasn't won over hurdles for four years, and has never looked like winning this year (both on the flat and over hurdles). High enough in the handicap as well so is best watched for the time being.
Makes seasonal return after 246 days off. Posted some solid run in good quality handicap hurdles last season, including when not beaten far into sixth in the Ladbrokes Hurdle at Leopardstown (2m; good to yielding) in February. Could go close if.
First hurdles run since December, and he is on a career-high mark but is fit from assignments over the summer on the flat. Only had the six starts over obstacles so could be more to come from him.
Failed to follow-up Listowel (2m; yielding) success when 15th of 18 at Navan (2m; good). That was his first win for two years and he is still 5lb above his last winning mark. Unlikely to play a part.
Hasn't finished out of the front three in any of his last four starts, including when second at Killarney (2m1f; yielding to soft). Holds a more appealing profile than others in this contest, and could see his consistency rewarded.
Still 7lb above the mark he scored off when winning at Bellewstown (2m; good) in July. Posted a couple of quiet efforts since then, so is vulnerable for win purposes. However, he may not be fully exposed in handicaps just yet.
Represents powerful yard, but his seasonal reappearance effort at Navan (2m; good) was devoid of any hope when he was tailed off. Only 1lb lower now, so is impossible to fancy until showing more encouraging signs.
Reverts to hurdles for the first time since being pulled-up at the Punchestown Festival (2m; good to yielding) in May. Been struggling for form on the flat the last twice too, so does have something to prove.

Forecasts
Jake Peter (6/5), Share The Honour (5/1), Wait Here (6/1), Trainwreck (10/1), Kasakh Noir (10/1), Pass Hymn (14/1), Morga (14/1), Antimatter (14/1), Try Again (14/1), Oscars Den (20/1), Song Of Namibia (20/1)
A typically tricky puzzle to solve as is often the case with these handicap hurdles. Given he has only had the six starts over hurdles, it is likely there will be more to come from Jake Peter as he returns to obstacles after being kept busy on the flat. Also in the mix is Try Again who possesses some strong form in this sphere, including when just failing to make the frame in the Ladbrokes Hurdle when last seen in February. He should be bang there if fit enough to do himself justice. However, the safest option looks to be WAIT HERE who has ran in these types of races during the summer, finishing in the frame each time. He can gain a deserved reward for his consistency.

- Try Again
