Difficult to make a strong case for based on his flat form on hurdles bow; latest Flat effort at this track was one of his tamest.

Showed little in five runs on the Flat, bred for this game though and offered something to work with on on two efforts at Listowel and Ballinrobe in September; one to consider.
Has improved for each run over hurdles and is slowly going in the right direction; experience under his belt should serve him well and can go well if his jumping improves.
Well beaten in two maidens on the Flat and showed little and never a factor on hurdles debut at Ballinrobe last month; obviously open to improvement but perhaps not a top notch betting opportunity.
Thought good enough to enter a couple of Group races on the Flat as a juvenile; rated around 90 on the level and represents some of the best form on show from the unraced over hurdles runners; reasonable chance.
Reasonably bred; unraced on the Flat and makes his racecourse debut here; difficult to assess and market may provide the only logical clues.

Has struggled, changed trainer and been gelded since winning a Dundalk maiden on the Flat in February. Finished stone last on his hurdles debut in late August before unseating early at Listowel last time out; others preferred.

Showed some promise on his only hurdles run at Roscommon in August despite being a disappointing sort on the Flat; should be able to build on that and certainly one to consider.

Fair form on the Flat for Dennis Horgan though only one claiming race win for his efforts; interesting contender for new connections and not without a chance if taking to hurdles.
Just one victory on the Flat which came over 1m4f at Listowel on soft ground; looks the type to do well over hurdles and deserves closer inspection.

Showed little promise on the Flat finishing closer to last than first on all his starts; may be better suited jumping but difficult to make a strong case for.
Put some poor jumping on his debut behind him when running a fair race at Listowel last month; can certainly improve again and looks one the better ones with hurdling experience.
No real show on two starts on the Flat; difficult to suggest he will take the hurdling world by storm and only clues may be the market.
Lightly-raced mare on the Flat, showed promise in three spring maidens; no real show on hurdles debut at Ballinrobe last month; entitled to improve but will need to to play a leading role here.

Bitterly disappointing on the Flat and last effort saw her finish tailed off last of 12 at Down Royal in May; no reason to suggest she would be capable of winning this.
Fairly consistent sort for Mick Channon on the Flat showing good ability up to 1m2f on different surfaces; mistakes and subsequently pulled up on hurdles debut at Listowel last month; better showing expected.

Verdict

COSMIC HORIZON has the best form on the flat of all of his rivals and if he can translate that over hurdles he may be too classy in what looks a weak contest. Charlie Bit Me is going in the right direction and has shown improvement on all his starts. He looks the clear pick of those with experience. The same could be said of Theatre Of War who has put in two fair performances to date and would not need to improve too much to play a leading role. Patchouli is difficult to assess having been pulled up on her hurdles debut but has the form on the flat to suggest she could make a useful hurdler.
  1. Cosmic Horizon
  2. Theatre Of War
  3. Charlie Bit Me
