Dual winner in the summer over 2m4f-2m6f on good/good to soft ground. Yet to score in a handicap, but remains unexposed and improving if her latest Cartmel win is any guide. Should prove tough to beat.
Came good at the third attempt over hurdles in Ireland, when landing a Killarney maiden hurdle (2m7f, good) in July. Changed hands for £26,000 since. In good hands and although this mark looks stiff, she may well improve for this trainer.
Wide margin Catterick win last December (2m3½f, good to soft) remains her sole success. Lost her way a little in the spring and now returns from a summer break on a mark that should still ask plenty of questions.
Still early days and showed promise when second at Newcastle in January. Although she occupied the same spot last time, it was a match that she contested. Mark looks stiff enough based on the face value of her form.
Scored at Clonmel (2m3½f, good) in handicap company 13-months ago, when with Elizabeth Doyle. Lost her way a bit after that. Changed hands since last seen in August. Now tongue-tied. Not ruled out from this mark if at her best, but has it to prove.
Won a Cartmel juvenile hurdle on her penultimate start (2m1f, good to soft). Ran well since then on AW. Is well treated at these weights, given her allowance, and can't be ruled out.
Forecasts
Mega Double (6/4), Somethinboutangela (9/5), Lady Shanawell (7/2), Sweet Vinetta (14/1), Tomorrow's Angel (20/1), Glamorous Nellie (50/1)
The presence of Lady Shanawell in the line-up makes this more of a conundrum than perhaps first appears on paper, as she arrives in good form and with a handy allowance to ease her burden. However, MEGA DOUBLE still looks to be improving and may be able to successfully concede two stones. Somethinboutangela has joined a good yard and could make an improved showing, while Glamorous Nellie has also changed hands and would be a threat if running to her best.
- Mega Double
- Lady Shanawell
