Yard no stranger to bumper success with a good first-time out record (10-51, last five years). €32,000 3yo half-brother to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Agusta Gold; dam unraced but nicely related; market support would make him of interest.
Half-brother won a couple of bumpers earlier this year although the yard are a little light on first-time out bumper winners (0-7, last five years). Dam won twice in point-to-points; hard to see him as one of the leading players.
Likely to be one of the less-fancied runners in the market and a fairly rare bumper runner from this yard. Half-brother to maiden point winner Pedro King out of a dam who was a winner in the same sphere; others appeal more.
One of four in this race with point-to-point form; cost €15,500 after landing winning in that sphere in March by 3L. Yard 8-61 last five seasons but only 1-33 in the same period with newcomers; market confidence would be needed to support.
Fourth in an Irish point-to-point on his debut (beaten 14L) he now makes his Rules debut for a yard that are not known for their bumper runners. Just 1-39 with runners in this discipline (last five seasons); one of the less likely types.
Well related €68,000 purchase as a 3yo who makes his bumper debut for a yard with a 18% strike-rate with newcomers in this sphere. Half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Three Stars; market may well be a good signal of expectations.
Yard has a 14-60 (23%) record with bumper newcomers (last five years); always respected in this sphere. €80,000 3yo; first foal, dam unraced half-sister to Listed bumper/chase winner Without Limites; looks one of the stronger contenders.
Beaten favourite on only Irish point-to-point start (finished second) yet still cost £175,00 soon after. Dam bumper winner, out of useful French 2m1f-2m2f hurdle/chase winner Soupinette; yard; yard capable with bumper newcomers (18% strike-rate).
Only one of two in this contest to have run before (hooded for debut) and failed to cut much ice at Uttoxeter earlier in the year. Looked short of speed and it would be surprising if she could put her relative experience to use.
From a yard that are always to be respected in this sphere although she failed to meet expectations on her Fontwell debut (6-4 favourite); looked far too green. Could easily prove a different proposition now with that experience tucked away.

Forecasts
Truckers Pass (11/8), Soaring Glory (7/2), Thais Toir (4/1), Arcadian Spring (11/1), Hometown Boy (14/1), Sorghatani (16/1), Craic Magic (16/1), Secret Court (20/1), Mint Condition (25/1), Bay Of Intrigue (25/1), Midnightreflection (33/1), Call Me Bill (100/1)
With the majority of the field never having run under Rules before the market may well provide the best guide to the expectations of the runners. Looking at the records of the trainers who do well with bumper newcomers Tom Lacey comes very much to the fore and his THAIS TOIR is given a tentative vote to make a winning debut. Truckers Pass the most expensive purchase in the field ought to go well on the back of that performance with another point-to-point graduate Hometown Boy worth a second glance. Soaring Glory and Arcadian Spring are two others to note given their connections with Sorghatani very much open to improvement after a below-par first outing.
- Thais Toir
- Truckers Pass
- Soaring Glory
