Switch to hurdles at Listowel last month failed to spark a revival in form for the daughter of Robin Des Pres and first time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.
20-race maiden who has failed to hit the target in four starts over the larger obstacles. Others appear to have more scope for improvement.
Sole win in 29 career starts came here in a 2m handicap hurdle in June last year. Well held on third chase start at Listowel last month and looks up against it on handicap debut.
Losing run now totals eight following a win at Galway 12 months ago. Recent efforts have been below-par and has not shown enough to be of interest here.
Modest nine-race maiden well held when failing to hit the frame in four career chase so far. Best watched unless market vibes suggest otherwise.
Off the mark for connections at the eighth time of asking over fences when landing a Tramore 2m handicap on good ground in August. Well held off her revised mark since and may struggle once again.
Seen over hurdles recently, the daughter of Echo Of Light was previously seen struggling in four career chase starts. Still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.
Six-race maiden over fences posted a career best effort when finishing third of nine beaten 5L at Ballinrobe over 2m1f last month. Entitled to have designs on more prize money.
Two from 12, 97-rated chaser in Britain for trainer Simon Earle. Last seen in March but likely to be in good sorts for stable debut here.
14-race maiden who has failed to hit the frame in four starts over the larger obstacles since May. Entitled to have needed the run on return to action at Ballinrobe last month but looks worth taking on once again.
Veteran who is turning back time and comes here on a hat-trick of wins following hurdle success at Down Royal in August and a 2½L win at Ballinrobe last month. Looks appealingly treated.
Forecasts
Bective Cave (11/10), Kavanaghs Corner (10/3), Everlastingpromise (7/1), Slainte And Thanks (12/1), Indian Music (14/1), Daring Decree (14/1), Robin On The Hill (20/1), Well Tom (20/1), Motcomb Street (25/1), Athloman Cottage (25/1), Echoes Of Family (33/1)
It's hard to ignore how well treated the 11-year-old BECTIVE CAVE is here on his hurdles form for a return over the larger obstacles. The gelding is seeking a hat-trick of wins here as the veteran seeks to hold off his biggest dangers in the shape of recent Ballinrobe third, Athloman Cottage and the 10-year-old Kavanaghs Corner on debut for the Henry De Bromhead yard. Any market move the for J P McManus-owned Everlastingpromise should be noted.
