Quickly switched to fences by his new yard he made a promising start in this sphere on his first start after a wind op at Newton Abbot. Jumping and travelling well he held on well to win snugly; only raised 4lb, leading chance of following up.

Taken a step forward in form terms since arriving from Ireland starting from a low base but making a winning C&D debut off a 4lb lower mark. This will prove to be a far tougher test although she can't be written off as she jumped well last time.

All of the quartet come into this having won last time out but MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN created a fine impression when winning at Newton Abbot seeing off a couple of in-form rivals with the form being franked by the subsequent win of the third. Given the way he travelled and jumped it’s hard to believe that there isn’t more to come. Our Reward is undeniably well handicapped in this sphere but his enthusiasm for this scenario has to be questioned especially after the laboured albeit winning display last time. Trumps Benefit is another who will need to travel better but his travails looked more like inexperience. Kildaven Spider has to improve again but isn’t ruled out being a C&D winner.
