Former C&D winner, been running some pleasing races this season without getting his head in front. Blinkers are tried here and should handle forecast ground.

Both 2019 successes came on testing ground at Hamilton and Carlisle, has dropped to a workable mark after some less promising recent efforts and could bounce back with these conditions.

Scored over C&D in August on heavy ground, ensuring he's likely to give his best in these conditions from 3lb higher mark. Worth some though.

Recent form is not suggesting a win in imminent. Readily fended off eight days ago at Hamilton. Has plenty to find.

Filly opened her account on second start for this trainer at Hamilton last week over extended mile. She's got a 5lb to contend with this evening but should be able to go well again.

Yet to win beyond a mile and form has nosedived somewhat since showing early promise after joining current stable. Off a short break, needs to bounce back to best.

Five-race maiden, showed up well enough on handicap bow over a mile here last time and looks sort to offer a bit more now getting stamina stretched out. Interesting contender.

Both wins this summer have come over hurdles, chased home odds-on favourite on the Flat at Hamilton (1m4f) last time out however and enters calculations.

Remains low-mileage but will surely have to improve now tackling this new trip in order to get competitive. Work to be done on form.

Has now gone 17 starts without a win and this trip just about as sharp as he would want it. Others have more pressing claims at this juncture.

Forecasts

Iconic Code (10/3), Three Castles (4/1), So Macho (11/2), George Ridsdale (6/1), Frightened Rabbit (15/2), House Call (8/1), Zealous (10/1), Pammi (11/1), Majeste (12/1), Rosin Box (14/1), Guvenor's Choice (16/1), Muraadef (20/1), The Brora Pobbles (25/1), Can Can Sixty Two (28/1)

Verdict

Gordon Elliott didn't take long to knock a win from HOUSE CALL and last week's Hamilton scorer can bag more Scottish success having gone up 5lb, with this extra test of stamina likely to be a positive and Sean Davis in the plate again. The maiden George Ridsdale is a possible improver going up in distance while Frightened Rabbit could do little more than chase home an odds-on jolly returned to the Flat last time out and joins Three Castles and Iconic Code on the shortlist.
  1. House Call
  2. Frightened Rabbit
  3. Three Castles
