20/1

Handicap mark is in freefall, took second spot in veterans' race Bath in August but poor since at Catterick and remains one to be wary of for now.

Form: 985429

John Kirkup^b1¹⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: Connor Beasley| T: M Dods| OR: 73| D

11/4

Heavy-ground winner over 6f at Haydock in June, hasn't always shown his best since but now rated just 1lb higher than previous win-mark.

Form: 738405

(7)

Dancing Rave¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: D Tudhope| T: D O'Meara| OR: 74| BF| D

4/1

Twice a winner over 6f this year already, more than capable of having a say from current mark. Engaged 2.20 Hamilton Monday.

Form: 151263

(6)

Rattling Jewel¹⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 9-3| J: Gavin Ryan⁽⁵⁾| T: J J Lambe| OR: 70| D

7/1

First win for this trainer came at Listowel (7f, soft) last month, benefitting from clever ride and just holding off the closers. 5lb higher now but has been effective from this mark in the past.

Form: 080001

(2)

Amazing Grazing²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 8-12| J: Phil Dennis| T: Rebecca Bastiman| OR: 65| BF| D

11/2

Is on a lengthy losing sequence now and while he has course form in the book, there is a question mark on soft ground. Easier to oppose.

Form: 823535

(3)

Tai Sing Yeh^t²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 8-12| J: Sean Davis⁽³⁾| T: J F Levins| OR: 65| CD

15/2

Running well in big-field handicaps since scoring second win of 2019 over this C&D in June. Perfect 2-2 here and should be right in the mix again as part of strong dual attack from this yard.

Form: 121349

(4)

Eleuthera^t⁷¹

Age: 7| Weight: 8-8| J: Sean Kirrane⁽⁷⁾| T: J F Levins| OR: 61| C| D

7/2

Has run just once in 2019, getting up determinedly to score over this C&D in July (good to soft). Not badly treated with riders' claim and should go well again. Trainer also run Tai Sing Yeh.

Form: 159/40-1

Forecasts

John Kirkup (11/4), Eleuthera (7/2), Dancing Rave (4/1), Amazing Grazing (11/2), Rattling Jewel (7/1), Tai Sing Yeh (15/2), Yes You (12/1), Naadirr (20/1)

Eleuthera was a C&D winner in July, his sole outing of 2019 so far and may go well again now with his claiming rider assisting. Rattling Jewel returned to form under a clever ride to win at Listowel last month but it is hard to pick holes in the recent form of TAI SING YEH. He is 2-2 at this course and might just have been found a decent opportunity to extend that record.
