Had been knocking on the door prior to poor run here last month, has twice finished third over C&D on soft/heavy going. Chance if bouncing back.

Winner over a mile at Leicester eight days ago on good to firm ground. Will hold every chance if turning up in similar mood and handling softer going.

Three-time course winner, hasn't been firing on all cylinders recently however and not certain to relish the forecast soft conditions.

Hasn't shown his best form at this track in four previous runs over 1m2f. In good form however, backing up last month's Hamilton win with close third over 1m1f. Acts on soft going and trip looks right.

Seven-race maiden, well held here recently when beating only one home, untested on ground worse than good. Needs to improve.

Scored over 6f here in the summer for previous trainer, handles this trip/ground and should be competitive though does need to find a bit more in the finish.

17-race maiden, finished head second at Hamilton (1m½f, soft) last time out. Not beyond the realms he can go one better now.

Irish raider, just the one success from 22 runs so far. That did come over similar trip at Gowran Park in August but has to improve to score from this mark.

Honest sort, strike-rate is not convincing but likely to run his race and won't have any concerns on trip/soft ground. Winner at Carlisle in June over 7f.

19-race maiden, dropping down the ratings and has run well at Carlisle and Hamilton recently over this sort of trip. Gets on well with this rider and looks likely to be involved.

Mostly struggling since joining this yard and hard to recommend after five poor turf runs this year, though best of those did come over 7f here in July (good to firm).

Long-standing maiden, twice finished second under similar conditions at Carlisle and Nottingham in May/June but form has dipped again since. All to prove again.

Forecasts

Gamesters Icon (4/1), Kinch (6/1), Highway To Heaven (7/1), Remmy D (7/1), Abushamah (17/2), The Stalking Moon (9/1), Chinese Spirit (9/1), Cliff Bay (11/1), Equidae (12/1), Snooker Jim (16/1), Tom's Anna (40/1), Uh Oh Chongo (66/1), Darwina (66/1), Pudding Chare (66/1)

Verdict

Abushamah, Remmy D and Gamesters Icon arrive here in decent form and each is entitled to have designs on the win but a chance is taken with SNOOKER JIM to make it 20th time lucky. He has gone well at Carlisle and Hamilton recently, will handle conditions and gets on well with his claiming rider. Course winner Kinch is one that may do better for the return to this track.
