Scored on his debut at Bath (5f) in an 11 runner field. Was unable to follow that up last time though as he came home last of three runners at Doncaster (6f) in a class 2 contest. This assignment is easier. Big player.

Es Que Love colt who was foaled on April 8. Is a half-brother to Archie who prevailed over 7f and is closely related to a number of winners, including Clement. Interesting newcomer who is a likely type on debut.

Siyouni gelding who cost 80,000 gns as a yearling. He is closely related to Come On Leicester who was a useful filly. Has to be respected on his opening start given he is from this strong yard. Keep an eye out for any strong market confidence.
Was last of 11 runners on his opening start at Thirsk (5f). He weakened with 2f to go and soon was at the rear of the field. Will need to produce much more this time over this longer trip. Others appeal more.
Came home sixth of eight at Yarmouth (6f) on his debut, 15L away at the finish. He ran green for large parts of that contest. Needs to settle better and improve in order to be in the mix at the finish.

Yet to score but has shown some promise on both of his appearances so far. He was fifth of 10 last time at Sandown (5f), beaten by just 2¾L. Open to improvement so he has to be respected here from this yard.

Did not show much promise on her opening outing over this C&D last month when she was seventh of nine runners after going off at 125/1. She was slowly away and did not get into the race. Hard to fancy.
Kingman filly who was foaled on May 2 and cost £100,000 as a two-year-old. Half-sister to 1m winner Parkes And Ride and Influent who scored at trips up to 1m. Likely to be better with experience on her side.
Finished fifth of 11 in an encouraging performance on her debut at Catterick (6f) as she was only 2½L away after going off at 100/30. She is entitled to have needed that opening run. More can be expected here.

Forecasts

Brad The Brief (5/4), Vasari (9/4), Pretty Lady (9/2), Streeton (8/1), Is That Love (20/1), Kingmans Spirit (22/1), The Grey Bay (50/1), Theheartneverlies (50/1), Heartstar (125/1)

Verdict

BRAD THE BRIEF made a winning start to his career at Bath and although he was unable to add to that at Doncaster last time, it was in a much higher class than this so take him to double his tally on his return to this level. Vasari looks capable of more than he has shown so far in his two starts so expect an improved performance here, while Pretty Lady should improve from her promising debut at Catterick to finish in the placings this time.
  1. Brad The Brief
  2. Vasari
  3. Pretty Lady
