Solid and consistent form in a number of starts since May and ran well enough on the level here three weeks ago finishing sixth of 16 runners. One from four hurdles record so still open to a little improvement and respected here.
Return to last winning mark latest and took full advantage when winning at Listowel although was left in the lead by a faller at the last there. 5lb rise may be sufficient to deny him here.
Downpatrick novice winner just touched off in first handicap but disappointing twice since with no obvious excuses. Given connections it would be foolhardy to think he can't bounce back.
Off the mark when making the journey over to Cartmel last time in what was his eighth hurdle start. Lower mark back at home but has gone up from the mark he finished fifth at the time before in Downpatrick.
Winner of a Killarney maiden (2m4f) on second start before respectable fifth on handicap debut at Bellewstown last month. Should be more to come at this stage and jockey booking a positive here.
Narrow leader when falling at the last in the race won by Antimatter at Listowel on stable bow. Won final start for Peter Croke too so looks to be a horse on the up now so highly respected if feeling no ill effects from the tumble.
Belatedly got her act together with wins at Tramore and Kilbeggan in August but suspect handicapper caught up with a well beaten seventh at the latter venue most recently.
Clonmel winner earlier in the months finished fourth three days later when racing under a 5lb penalty. 1lb higher than that in effect here now revised but perhaps longer gap between races will help.
Scored over nearly 3m at Thurles in March and twice ran well after that when placed at Perth this spring. Ran as though in need of a break when unplaced at Roscommon in June but returns now and is respected at this level.
Winner at Thurles in February but things went awry after as he unseated at Navan before being pulled up next after a break. Comes with risks attached now.
Four respectable but unplaced efforts over hurdles since winning over fences at Perth in July and given all of them were off today's mark he must find more to make the frame.
Runners from this yard never taken lightly but this mare has risks attached now having fallen at Galway and being pulled up clinically abnormal at Downpatrick; did impress at Limerick in July however.
Must overcome a long absence having not raced since last June and the form of her Towcester success doesn't appeal as strong enough to take a chance.
Downpatrick winner in 2017 raced just once in 2018 and hasn't beaten a rival in three 2019 starts so risks aplenty now.
Maiden of 18 races in all but made the frame in her last four races over timber in both handicaps and maiden contests. Should win a race before long and certainly a sound each-way proposition again here.
Only beaten 3L into second at Clonmel latest and the evergreen veteran also notched a sixth career score earlier in the summer at Cork. Handicapper has him on a tight leash but should still go well.
Long standing maiden was pulled up at Down Royal and the vast majority of her form suggests her one to avoid.
Lone win a Flat maiden in 2015 and little recent evidence suggests him one to be involved with today.
Forecasts
Callthebarman (11/2), Iamastartoo (6/1), The Rubinator (6/1), Here For The Craic (9/1), Napoleon Blue (10/1), Wooster (10/1), Song Of Namibia (10/1), Whenurgoodurgood (12/1), Antimatter (12/1), Touch Of Gold (14/1), Josephina (14/1), Important Message (16/1), Mountain Fox (16/1), All The Chimneys (18/1), Ballydunblaze (20/1), Atalanta's Gold (33/1), Misty Mountain (33/1), Alterno (50/1)
Having won his final start for Peter Croke THE RUBINATOR looked pretty likely to make a winning stable debut only to fall at the last at Listowel when in front; he is clearly progressive and can make amends here. Dangers include Song Of Namibia who has disappointed the last twice after starting promisingly in handicap company and consistent mare Iamastartoo.
- The Rubinator
- Song Of Namibia
- Iamastartoo
