Has found it a challenge to nail down a winning opportunity since taking a Class 3 fillies' handicap by 8L at Goodwood (1m4f, soft) last August; fair third to Eva Maria at Ayr (1m2f, good) last week; competes off the same mark.

Still seeking her first win on the Roodeye, which is unusual for one in the Koukash silks; has competed at this track on each of her last six starts (7½f-1m2½f); last of 14 to Parys Mountain in a Class 4 handicap a fortnight ago.

A Nottingham regular (form figures there read 32162); evidently is suited by some cut underfoot; same mark as when beaten ¾L by Capriolette in a 1m2f Class 4 fillies' handicap at Colwick Park (soft) in August; noteworthy.

Plenty of placed form, but no wins since scoring on the AW at Lingfield in January (1m) for Gay Kelleway; her best effort to date for Michael Herrington came over a similar trip at Ripon in August, when a neck second to Anna Bunina.

3lb lower than when beating Fresh Terms by a short-head (Bell Heather third) at odds of 33-1 in this race last year; runner-up at Wolverhampton (1m4f) in May, but not in peak form since; poorly drawn.

Six-race maiden (0-4 on the Flat); scarcely beating even a single rival in those starts; holds no conceivable chance whatsoever from so far out of the handicap proper; look elsewhere with confidence.

Verdict

Ebqaa took this race at odds of 33-1 last year, with the Dr Marwan Koukash-owned Bell Heather a close third. However, neither is considered as the potential solution this time around. Lady Mascara appeals as a progressive type for James Fanshawe, but how she takes to the switch to softer ground remains to be seen. Such a factor won't trouble the returning-to-form Fannie By Gaslight or the Nottingham regular Cuban Sun, with both fillies' entitled to have a major say. However, the preferred option is just the August Kempton winner INCLYNE. She remains feasibly handicapped in the midst of a positive spell for the Kingsclere handler Ian Balding.
