Polytrack surface suits and no issues with Chelmsford's sweeping bends (four wins over 7f at Kempton but placed here twice; once over C&D). 2lb above his last winning mark but not out of this even though he needs to at least match his best.

Has sat out most of this year and both starts since returning from a break have left a bit to be desired. He'd have decent place claims on previous efforts posted at Kempton but his style of running leaves him vulnerable to a sucker punch.

Made little impact on his debut run back in November 2017 and only seen out twice since; pulled hard both times and readily brushed aside on those occasions. Had wind surgery since last seen (in May) and plenty to prove just now.

Just ahead of Coverham at Newmarket in his penultimate start, which reads well in the context of this race. Not so good last time but is now 1lb below his last winning mark and ideally drawn to bid for C&D win number three. One for the shortlist.

Never yet won beyond 6f but has been placed over this trip on four occasions, so is another who is capable of getting involved. Attractively weighted and must enter the calculations if supported in the betting. Solid each-way hope.

Posted a good effort when placed over this trip at Kempton in June but form has been mixed since. Well held when last partnered with this afternoon's intended rider but her 7lb claims can come in handy. Needs a lot to go her way, though.

Won on turf from a 3lb lower mark in July (also under the guidance of a 5lb claimer) so reasonable enough claims at the weights. A good effort in an apprentices race last time puts her in the mix but this does look a stronger contest.

Gained reward for several near misses when winning in a pleasing manner over C&D late last month and the 6lb rise in the handicap looks fair; the gelding debuts for a new yard but has a lot going for him with a rising star in the making booked.

Set to race from 4lb out of the handicap and no easy task on these terms; form since joining her current yard has been underwhelming and she has plenty to find with the likes of Vincenzo Coccotti judging by last month's encounter over C&D.

Forecasts

Al Reeh (7/2), Sonnet Rose (4/1), Vincenzo Coccotti (5/1), Full Intention (5/1), Glory Awaits (11/2), Coverham (7/1), Choral Music (8/1), I Can (10/1), Seprani (12/1), Holy Tiber (33/1)

Verdict

Vincenzo Coccotti won well over C&D on his final start for Ken Cunningham Brown and is highly respected with the talented Cieren Fallon pitching in with his 3lb claim; a bold bid is expected from the pairing. Similar comments apply to Seprani even though this trip is probably about the limit of her stamina. However, it can be worth taking a chance that GLORY AWAITS can set a strong pace and he'll be a tough one to get past if allowed to slip his field. He rates as a value option in an open handicap. Full Intention is another to bear in mind.
  1. Glory Awaits
  2. Vincenzo Coccotti
  3. Seprani
