Ran creditably when third on return here in June, but not at her best since, most recently when eighth of 12 to Skerryvore over 1¼m here. Takes a drop in class here, but stamina for this longer trip not assured.
Showed improved form when winning off 4lb lower in a C&D handicap on her penultimate start, and far from discredited when 3¼L fourth of 8 to Art of Diplomacy at Hamilton last time. Considered again.
Won a 7f AW maiden in June, but stepped up in trip since, and showed better form when 1¼L fourth of 7 to Imperium on her first try at 1½m at Kempton last time. Now on a fair mark, and can get involved.
Hold-up mare who can give herself plenty to do, as when a never-nearer fifth of 9 over C&D last time. Well treated on balance of form, but arguably best when granted a strong pace.
Twice runner-up in recent starts, but her second on handicap bow saw her beaten 6L, and while she was better than the result in maiden auction company last time, her mark still looks a little harsh.
Second at Yarmouth in June in this headgear, and back to form after a break when third of 6 to Sea Battle in a 1½m handicap at Lingfield last time. May get an easy lead again, but this stiffer track demands more.
Won an amateur event at Ripon on penultimate start, and placed here on either side of that success, most recently when an excellent ½L third of 10 to Beaufort over C&D a week ago. The one to beat on that effort.
Forecasts
Sashenka (7/2), Sulafaat (4/1), Soloist (4/1), First Dance (5/1), Sweet Celebration (7/1), Bolt N Brown (9/1), Snowdon (10/1)
SULAFAAT has got solid recent form to her name, including over C&D, and looks a better bet than First Dance, who is handicapped to win, but seems reliant on getting a strong pace, and isn't assured that here. Soloist and Sashenka are best of the rest, and don't have much to find.
